I bought my car last Friday and it was one of the more challenging experiences I've had at a dealership. I settled on a deal for a Certified Pre-Owned Honda Civic and was told to wait for service to fix a challenging experiences I've had at a dealership. I settled on a deal for a Certified Pre-Owned Honda Civic and was told to wait for service to fix an air conditioning issue that they hadn't gotten to yet. I thought it was strange that a Certified Pre-Owned car would have this issue but I waited for 7 hours for the car to be fixed. I also noticed a ton of paint imperfections on the car that I wanted fixed and after asking the dealer multiple times, they only agreed to provide touch up paint for me to do it myself. I didn't love this option but it wasn't a big deal. What I had missed until I arrived home is that each rim was badly damaged (total damage of ~$1000, $250 per wheel). When I went to the dealership to speak to them about this damage, each person said it wasn't their responsibility anymore because I bought the car. I get it. I purchased the car and missed the damage and it's my responsibility now. But I wanted to find a dealership I could trust to purchase a car and come back for service. Instead, I found a dealership where I would have to watch my back and audit every thing they do. More
