He increased the price of the car in the contract btly 2,501.00 and then added GAP coverage and extended warranty without asking if I wanted it. I was over charged over 7,900.00. They make you purchase an 1,187.00service that is added into the value of the car. The finance guy originally said that was a free service which was an absolute lie that wasn't discovered until they had to redo the entire contract. He could not explain the remainder of the 2,501.00 increased price of the vehicle on the original contract. It was because of the 907.00 extended warranty for tire and wheel, the unexplainable 2,501 price increase, and over 3,300.00 other maintenance extended warranty that home him feel we need a GAP policy of 1,200.00. He never went over the figures. Just said we would go over the figures and finalize everything tomorrow when we came back for the car. That never happened he gave the paperwork to my son when my son was not with me. Then they were trying to hurry us out the door with the used car we bought. I had them void the original contract due to it being almost 8,000 more than it should have been. The new contract is about 7,000 because they claim they I had to purchase the 1,187.00 Hudson Nissan Extended Service that "gives" you 3 oil changes, 3 tire rotations, and unlimited car washed WITH maintence because they had to order a 600.00 passenger side mirror that was broken on the car even though we were led to believe the mirror was part of the sales deal. So buyer beware with this shady business. Who knows how many other customers have had this done to them. After all of this why would I trust this place with the maintenence of my car? Absolute waste of money to force on people who just want to buy a used car. I get a lifetime car wash for my Mini at any Mini dealership in the country for FREE no conartist maintenence agreement forces on you like these people. Buy a vehicle somewhere else!!! More
Horrible dealership. It's kind of like a puppy mill and really, really undervalued my trade-in and then within under a minute offered double. Bad business. Unless you want to pay large some of money and your vehicle still doesn’t work, I suggest going here. I spent over $1000 just for a “backyard” mechanic to find and fix the problem with my car. I escal vehicle still doesn’t work, I suggest going here. I spent over $1000 just for a “backyard” mechanic to find and fix the problem with my car. I escalated the situation and of course Nissan decided to side with the dealership but I will stop because this unfair and no one should have to go through this. More
Cant say enough great things about Eli, very responsive and keeps you up to date. He was out, but left me the name of two people there to help. Well one was busy and the other couldn’t be found. So I waite and keeps you up to date. He was out, but left me the name of two people there to help. Well one was busy and the other couldn’t be found. Worst dealership EVER in my 40 years of car-buying experience! Zero customer service. The multi-point inspection is apparently not performed by people who know anything about cars. Had to purchase a c experience! Zero customer service. The multi-point inspection is apparently not performed by people who know anything about cars. Had to purchase a car out of state because, sadly, our car was stolen and totaled. Explained that to our salesman Andy Whetsell and the general sales manager Brian Ward, who both seemed eager to help us and honest. Wow, did that change once they got our money. On our drive back home to Illinois, 2 days after buying a 2019 Nissan Sentra SR with 18K miles, the brakes began squeaking, the push button start wasn't working consistently, the key fob wasn't programmed correctly, the hood bar was broken, and the car was leaking oil. After a VERY stressful drive home, we took the car to our local dealer in Illinois, where they were shocked to find that we only received one key fob and no owners manual. They couldn't believe that Hudson Nissan of Charleston could have been so negligent after discovering all of the problems with the car that either hadn't been detected or were concealed. We got estimates for all needed repairs/replacements from our dealership, Bill Kay of Downers Grove in Illinois, and contacted the salesman Andy Whetsell and the general sales manager Brian Ward asking for AT LEAST partial reimbursement. Both men have completely avoided us and refuse to respond to our phone calls and emails. We will NOT go away and will continue contacting dealership partners and owners and local news outlets in Charleston. (I have some connections in Chicago who can help me.) We have missed work, have been completely stressed unnecessarily while on vacation, and have had to put an abundance of time and money into a car that should have been in perfect condition as described by Hudson Nissan of Charleston. It is absolutely pathetic that no one will work with us, and it is our hope that this review will deter any future car buyers. More
I know car salesmen will harass you so when I enquired about a vehicle I wanted to buy I would only give them an e-mail and told them the phone number was bogus. I spoke via e-mail to 3 different people a about a vehicle I wanted to buy I would only give them an e-mail and told them the phone number was bogus. I spoke via e-mail to 3 different people and I tell you I have never dealt with anyone as arrogant as these people. They are a poxy Nissan dealer and the car I was interested in was a 7 series BMW. God knows how they have it in their inventory but I can tell you they think they are selling a million dollar car. Also I am an out of State buyer. The way this works is you buy less taxes and then pay your TT7L when you get the vehicle home. These people lied about being licensed to collect taxes in my state. Had I done this deal I would have to go through a complicated process of retrieving that tax money to pay it to my State. This claim really was bad business practice on top of their arrogance with everything else I asked via e-mail. Joseph Greene is the Sales Manager there (they are all Sales Managers BTW, it's just a title), but he is by far the most arrogant. Avoid these guys if you know what's good for you. More
I took my truck to Hudson Nissan because it needed a TPI replaced. I thought that the price that they quoted me was reasonable so I left the truck there to be repaired. The service writer called me later an replaced. I thought that the price that they quoted me was reasonable so I left the truck there to be repaired. The service writer called me later and quoted me a price of 420 to replace the TPI. I asked why they couldn't repair it for the quoted price and he explained that was just for the diagnosis. So I paid 150 for them to tell me what I already knew. I guess that's a small price to pay to learn to never go back to Hudson Nissan. If I want to give money away I'd rather give it to someone in need, not a greedy millionaire. More
