I had a terrible experience at Hurd. After making an appointment to go test drive a car, I was made to wait for an hour to finally drive it. My initial online offer must have been rejected for being too low but I was never notified of this. I made an offer through my salesman and after waiting for his managers to get out of a 2 hour meeting, we settled on a price. At this point he conveniently forgot that he had offered me $1000 for a trade in. He seemed annoyed that I brought it up and said he would get back to me. More waiting... then he called back and advised me to donate my car to charity for the tax write off. I finally got annoyed with this whole process and decided to terminate the deal. About 5 hours later I got a call from the sales manager also advising me to donate my car to charity. I told him I wasn't interested and now I'm working with Mastria Nissan where they are willing to make arrangements to tow my trade-in and give me a good deal. More
The best car buying experience I've ever had! Wendy, Ron and Steve all contributed to get me into a 2011 Buick Regal, which I've found to be a great decision. They were extremely patient as well, which I find to be relieving when making such a big purchace. I would reccommend that if you are looking for a new ride, consider Buick. They have done a great job transforming their image and they come up with a new line that combines their classic comfort and ride with an awesome look. Interior and handle blows the doors off BMW 3-series and others like it. Never even thought twice about Buick, but Im really happy with my decision. Thanks guys! More
My wife and I needed to get a good solid used car for our son. After doing some inventory research online we found a prospect at Hurd. Ron is knowledgeable, professional, helpful and went the extra mile to locate the truck that had the equipment and color that we wanted. We felt very comfortable working with him because their was no pressure. He treated us fairly which will keep us comming back. We were also extremely satisfied with sales consultant Joe Marzilli even though he thought my 13 year old daughter was my granddaughter. He also was a joy to work with. Chris Hurd should be proud to have the calaber of Ron Mandeville and Joe Marzilli working for the Hurd Family. Kudos to Ron Mandeville and Chris Hurd. More
Kudos to Hurd Auto Mall in Johnston. My husband and I shopped at Hurd Auto Mall for a gently used vehicle. Not only did the sales consultant, David Levasseur, listen to our needs and steere us in the ri shopped at Hurd Auto Mall for a gently used vehicle. Not only did the sales consultant, David Levasseur, listen to our needs and steere us in the right direction from the get go, he displayed the utmost professionalism and courtesy manners with all of our questions and dealings. He surely made our experience a pleasurable one and should be commended! Also, Jamie in the finance department was super to deal with as well! The sales transaction was easy and stress free. We were excited to buy our "new" 2008 Mazda 6 at Hurd and seal the deal with the 3.25% interest rate secured through Hurd Financing. We had a memorial service for my old 1998 Plymouth Breeze with my two teenager daughters and their friends, who I had the pleasure of taxiing around town for almost ten years. Parting was such sweet sorrow! Seriously, Hurd's fine work was greatly appreciated and I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a new or used vehicle. I can see why Hurd stands by their motto, "Where you can send your friends ...and family!" A big thanks once again to the folks at Hurd. More

After buying by truck from Hurd I was given a free oil changes for the 1st 2 years of service. My 1st oil change appointment took 1 hour and 45 mins. Then a week later the truck needed service work for a changes for the 1st 2 years of service. My 1st oil change appointment took 1 hour and 45 mins. Then a week later the truck needed service work for a warranty repair, I took it in on a Monday morning and didn't hear from anyone in the service department until I called them on Tuesday afternoon. At that time they didn't have any answers for me and stated they would get right back to me. 2 hours later I had to call back and drang any info out of them and at that time they still didn't have any answers for me and again told me that they would call me back. 2 more hours goes by and I still didn't hear from anyone and now I try calling back and I was told " they are gone for the evening and to call back in the am" So there I sat without a ride for 2 and an half days with no answers. Service department is to big for it's own good. More
Worse Experience buying a car ever! I purchased a 2010 Camaro and the car is beautiful. Richard the Sales man was actually nice and good to deal with. Ron the sales manager is a xxxxx, Mean, Rude, and S Camaro and the car is beautiful. Richard the Sales man was actually nice and good to deal with. Ron the sales manager is a xxxxx, Mean, Rude, and Slimeball. The Finance Guy, former Military man he said, was a bigger xxxxx, and trys to talk over you even after you told him he was being rude. As soon as they thought they had the sale in the bag, there attitude towards me changed, but they forgot one thing, I had not given them a dime yet. The xxxx Finance guy had to eat his words and hide his head up his xxx afterwards, with no appology in site. Please do not buy from these guys!!! GO elseware! so many other Cheverlot dealers in RI, and MA. this purchase left a really bad taste in my mouth and many others. The Finance and Ron guys need to be fired and can't wait to get there report card in the mail from Chevy. A lot of sales guys are Slimey, these are the worst of the worst. I called them out and they backed down like sissy dogs. More
I would ride a bicycle before I bought a car again from Hurd or had my car serviced there. My dealings with them finally turned me into a foreign buyer (Acura) after being a GM guy all of my adult life (bought GM since 1982). Bought a Bonneville SSEi from Hurd. Ran fine until it hit 100K miles. Tranny issues. brought it in. Was told I needed a near entire rebuild - about $3500 - but everything that could go wrong with a tranny would be fixed. I went ahead. Within months I had tranny issues again. Was told I had just a portion done of what I should have had done, I needed another $2000 in work. The original service tech had quit. Dealt with the service and I felt he was being straight with me, but I did feel ripped off that the original service tech only told me half the story. Had I known the repair would have cost me $5000 I wouldn't have had the repair work done - and the tech wouldn't have earned his big fat commission on an expensive repair (yes folks, they do earn commish on what they sell you for repairs). Facing this new bill I went to the customer service department and explained that I would buy another car from them if they took this one in trade - giving me full trade value even though it needed a $1500 repair (it would cost them much less than this of course - and since my needing this repair was their fault for not telling me the whole story upfront). Their response was to tell me they would give me "scrap" value - and only if I payed sticker for the new car. I have never been so infuriated in all my life. I left a message for Chris Hurd - or SOMEONE with authority - to call me because I wanted to buy a car from them. Never heard from them again. I explain my ripoff to everyone I can who mentions they want to buy a car. Hey Hurd...I hope your ripoff felt good at the time because I am sure I have dissuaded a few people from buying from you. I love my Acura and will never buy a GM product again. More
