42 Reviews of Hutchinson Kia of Macon - Service Center
I purchased my 2011 Kia Soul from Hutchisons on the last day of May. Within a month of ownership the oil light came on. When inspecting the dipstick it showed no oil on it. I took it in and they kept the ca day of May. Within a month of ownership the oil light came on. When inspecting the dipstick it showed no oil on it. I took it in and they kept the car for a day to inspect for leaks. Nothing could be found so they gave me an oil change and sent me on my way. They mentioned they had a problem with there oil pumps and had only found a quart of oil in the engine. Within 3 weeks the motor started knocking again and I checked the oil again and it was on the low mark. I took it in as instructed on August 12th. At the time of this review they have had my kia for 12 days with no resolution. So Far the dealer has told me that they were ordering an engine (08/16) and then taking the head to a machine shop (08/19) And the whole time blaming Kia corp as they were waiting on instructions for them. As of (08/22) The Kia rep was visiting the shop and they were just looking at it and today (08/23) A mechanic was on his way to pick up a part to fix it. They've already told me they found damage to the inner valve walls and that the rings in the #2 cylinder have collapsed. Anytime I try to call I get transferred around about 5-6 times and the service manager is never available. Even calling his cell phone goes straight to voice mail.. I've called into Kia's Corporate number for assistance on 08/22 hoping to get some kind of answer. I spoke with Steve there who has been really helpful although I wish a bit more speedy in getting my request handled. I asked for an escalation and he said he needed to contact the dealer first. He tried but was not able to get the manager as is the case when I call so he escalated to Kias District Manager and advised they are on their way to the Macon dealership this afternoon to assist the dealer. This is my first kia and I am sorely disappointed... More
Went with a problem with oil pressure light. they first claimed needed oil change, then oil gaskets, then engine flush, then said should probably trade it in or else get new engine. We declined the new eng claimed needed oil change, then oil gaskets, then engine flush, then said should probably trade it in or else get new engine. We declined the new engine or the trade in towards a new car scam. Odd that we started at a $70 dollar job and it kept going up. Also when we picked it up, the back end of the van had been hit/dented. They claimed it was that way before but it wasn't! We saw no indication inside or out that they had done any work at all or even moved the vehicle. They charged us $600 and the car broke down (oil light staying on) 6 miles from their dealership. We chose to be towed into atlanta. I would not recommend this dealership for anything. We will be writing the KIA corporation about our terrible experience. More
