Great dealer I recently visited Hyundai Escondido to check out the 2020 Palisade. Gerardo Campos was very friendly and showed me an SEL. We took a test drive and he answered many questions. They also offered me a fair price on my trade, better then I got elsewhere. After reviewing the trim levels, were were set on a Limited, unfortunately the dealership didn't have any to offer. Gerardo continued to follow up with me, but none had come in after a week. I ended finding one in National City, and even after we purchased it from another dealer, Gerardo still offered to help us and answer questions about the car. If you are near San Diego North County, consider Hyundai Escondido. They were fair and very helpful. It's rare to find someone who just wants to help you find what's best for you, even when they are out of stock. We didn't make a deal only because they didn't have the exact car we wanted. I'll also note they weren't adding all sorts of extras on either, like some dealerships in the area. More

Alex the aggressor Alex was aggressive, would not take no for an answer and held my keys hostage as he tried to bully me into a sale. Of the dozens of car deals I've been apart of, my experience with Alex was by far the worst I've ever had. When we could not come to a number I could feel comfortable with he told me I was a liar and that I had promised him I'd buy the car, when I told him he was being pushy he told ME that he wasn't being pushy, when I said, "I am the customer, I tell YOU how you're making me feel, not the other way around" he became angry and told me to get the xxxx out of HIS dealership. If I owned this dealership I would strongly consider this removal. His lack of customer service and basic anger management makes him a horrible fit for car sales. I'd never recommend this dealership to anyone, in fact I'd recommend never going there. More

They quoted a price that we couldn’t meet and we were on our way out when they came back and told us they would lower the price and include the taxes and registration fees to help with the cost. We asked multiple times to confirm the price was right, then we proceeded to sit around for over an hour to wait and sign paperwork. Finally we are about to close and noticed they did not lower the price but instead calculated in our down payment to cover the taxes and registration fees that they told us would be included in the original price. When we inquired about the discrepancy their “financial analyst” used a very condescending tone and told us we must be confused and that he had nothing to do with what we were quoted earlier. I am truly disgusted by their manipulative tactics and lack of customer service. Needless to say but I will definitely be purchasing from a different dealership. More

New car purchase I was interested in a 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT Sport. The website showed one on the lot so I called to verify it was still there and schedule a test dr I was interested in a 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT Sport. The website showed one on the lot so I called to verify it was still there and schedule a test drive. I arrived about an hour and a half later and test drove that vehicle and a new Tucson. I purchased the Elantra. John the salesman was awesome. Gabriel the guy that handled the financing was also awesome. I left very happy. A week later I got a call about a specialty part that had came in. I scheduled an appointment with the service department unsure of what it was exactly. I was pleasantly surprised to learn they were replacing a rim that was partially damaged. Very impressed with their integrity and would recommend buying a car there without question. More

The only thing that pissed me off was the amount of time it takes to do all the paper work. I suppose all dealerships are the same in this regard. If Hyundai could improve on this it would be heaven.
