Needed service on my 2020 Hyundai, called to make an appointment and arrange for a courtesy vehicle if they had to keep my car. Everyone I spoke to was very nice, I appreciate that. Them they told m appointment and arrange for a courtesy vehicle if they had to keep my car. Everyone I spoke to was very nice, I appreciate that. Them they told me that they do not provide courtesy cars / loaners at all. I was shocked. I have never heard of such a policy. How are folks supposed to get back and forth to work? I bought my Hyundai at the Mall of GA Location, but I like to go to Athens for things as I am there often. The Mall of Georgia Hyundai has courtesy cars, not a problem. They have provided me with one before, no cost. I wonder if the Athens dealership tells folks before the buy a new Hyundai! I bet not!! More
Visited the dealership and was ready to purchase until my husband looked at the invoice online. Dealership has a $3,000.00 markup on the invoice due to shortage of vehicles per salesman explanation when que husband looked at the invoice online. Terrible knowledge from the financial department. They never notified us about having to make another car payment on a car that we traded in for a new sonta. If we did not have it automatically set up for never notified us about having to make another car payment on a car that we traded in for a new sonta. If we did not have it automatically set up for auto payment we would have had a late car payment on are credit report, do to the face they never told us that they would take more than 14 days to do the paperwork. And yet they had the worst attitude. Pretty much oh well that is business. Just make sure if you have a car that you are trading in that you cancel auto withdraw, salesman was kind but at the same time never took care of the issue. They would never call us back, we had to contact hyundai corp. and we are going to contact state attorney and local congressman on this matter. More
Very satisfied with our experiences at Hyundai of Athens. I am sad to see so many bad reviews on this site for them. We bought our first Santa Fe in 2018 from McKenzie. Even though she was new to the dealers I am sad to see so many bad reviews on this site for them. We bought our first Santa Fe in 2018 from McKenzie. Even though she was new to the dealership she was very helpful and if she did not know something she found out for us. Jay went over and above on our first purchase. We continued to have service done there without any issues over the years. When my husband went in for service last week, he ended up calling me and telling me he was going to drive a 2020 Santa Fe. We ended up purchasing the new Santa Fe fromMcKenzie. It was great to see her still there and enjoying her job. It was also a pleasure being with Jake once again, he may be processed very easy. We loved our 2019 Santa Fe and are looking forward to putting some fun miles on our 2020. More
I bought a Chevy Cruz in February of 2020. The car has needed service on it 4 times, 2 of those times were for over heating issues. The car now is broke down, will not start and it needs a motor replaceme needed service on it 4 times, 2 of those times were for over heating issues. The car now is broke down, will not start and it needs a motor replacement. The extended power train warranty will not cover it. I cannot afford a motor replacement so now I am without a vehicle and responsible for what I owe on the loan if I so happen to chose to let the car go back. Hyundai does not seem like they care at all. More
My wife and I have had a wonderful experience purchasing a new Santa Fe from Hyundai of Athens. Makenzie made a difficult decision very easy. We highly recommend that you ask for her when you come or bett a new Santa Fe from Hyundai of Athens. Makenzie made a difficult decision very easy. We went here for basic service and a diagnostic and did not have a good experience. They didn't call us to tell us our car was ready (we had to call them before they closed to ask about the status) and the not have a good experience. They didn't call us to tell us our car was ready (we had to call them before they closed to ask about the status) and they tacked on an undisclosed supply fee when we went to pay. The fee was nearly 20% the bill. If you go here make sure you ask what additional fees there are and how much they will be in order to avoid a significantly higher bill than what you were originally told... but an easier solution is to just find another place to take your car to, that's what we will be doing for future service More
DO NOT GO HERE!! Service probs, Indifferent GM NO COVID MEASURES- NO MASKS, DISTANCING: Scheduled an oil change and recall repair for Friday 9:30. Called to confirm and only the oil change was list NO COVID MEASURES- NO MASKS, DISTANCING: Scheduled an oil change and recall repair for Friday 9:30. Called to confirm and only the oil change was listed/no parts for the recall. Called again, parts said they had the parts. Upon arrival Friday at 9:40, they said an oil change had been scheduled for Thursday, 2:30! We left the car with them because of COVID. At 4 PM, we had not heard back; they close at 5. Called: The car was ready. Since we live 20 minutes away, we hustled over. The car was hot from sitting out for some time. They had some reason like too busy, forgot--had we not called we'd have not gotten the car Friday. We forgot to ask for the multi-point inspection sheet they are to provide, (we know better because it's happened each time) so we have no idea what the brakes are like, etc. AND we pay a document fee as well for their record-keeping!? I called the General Manager. When he answered, all he said was "Hello". I had to ask what's your name, "Eddy". I recounted the above. Stopped. He said "Thank you" in a matter-of-fact tone, clearly signaling we were done. Unbelievable!! We drove to Voyles in Atlanta where we bought the car during warranty. We need to use them for future important service. More
Scheduled a service over the phone Thursday for Monday. I needed an oil change, new brakes, new tires, and some recalls fixed. Got a confirmation email that said check brakes, oil change, tire rotation. I se needed an oil change, new brakes, new tires, and some recalls fixed. Got a confirmation email that said check brakes, oil change, tire rotation. I sent an email under the “manage service” button. Telling them I knew I needed new tires and I needed new brakes. No response. Drop it off Monday and tell Jesse I don’t need a tire rotation, I need new tires and I need new brakes. He says ok i can get the tires in by lunch tomorrow. We schedule it and I leave my car to get the other stuff fixed. Pick it up take it home and I can tell I don’t have new brakes. Jesse didn’t go over any of the paperwork for me, it actually took 15 min to even get the stuff printed so as soon as it printed he just told me to sign. That was my fault. After taking the paperwork to my husband he asked why I was charged for a tire rotation and why did I not get new brakes. I called and left two voicemails on jesse’s machine. Called a third time and asked the guy who answered to let me talk to somebody that would talk to me. He then tells me Jesse is out today, his wife had a baby last week so he’s stressed and manager Don had a lot going on but he’s a good honest guy and will call me back. I’m not expecting a call back, or my money back or a service I said three times I did not need. Hopefully they’ll sit on those tires they ordered for me because I’m not going back. More
6 weeks and STILL WAITING I took my car in SIX WEEKS ago because there is some kind of leak (interior back seat floor). The day after I dropped it off, Jesse called and said t I took my car in SIX WEEKS ago because there is some kind of leak (interior back seat floor). The day after I dropped it off, Jesse called and said that they could not find a leak after they ran a hose over my car and he wanted to let me know. I said thanks for letting me know. It has been SIX WEEKS and I have heard NOTHING back from him. I know the service center has been open (its corona virus time) so it isn't like they closed. I called 2 days ago to speak with the manager of the service department, Don, and he has yet to call me back either. Not a happy customer. For a place that is supposed to be 'customer service' oriented, that are quite a disappointment to say the very least! Needless to say, the next time I need any type of service, I will be taking my car anywhere else. More
