Josh was very helpful, KNEW HIS PRODUCT and walked me through the entire deal with the practiced confidence of a veteran. Pretty impressive actually. Fast forward to October of 2018 when they FINALLY get an R spec Veloster on the lot and here we go! This time, we gave the car a very thorough shakedown. Josh did his thing and once again delivered pretty much right along the lines of my expectations. Of course, I suppose it's relatively easy selling a vehicle that kind of sells itself... but bringing it in on point, at the right price, etc. is where the finesse comes in. And yes, I looked him up SPECIFICALLY when I went in to purchase the new car. ALSO... when the Mrs. leased HER new Sonata in 2017, Josh was our man then as well. That he was able to table the deal with the Mrs. is truly impressive. Go see the man! You'll be glad you did! More
Lack of Follow through Experience not much different than any other dealer. Salesman very nice but apparently had no say in actual deal. You need to do your homework regarding incentives cash rebates etc available. At the end of trying to settle on price was advised I was entitled to a $500 veterans cash rebate (US Army Vietnam Combat Veteran). Was asked how We would like the payment. Told them to send a check. There was no check to be issued. The $500 had already been used to reduce the price. That is fine but disclose it up front, do not state there will be a payment issued when in fact it was applied as if I was given a break on the price. Was advised next that a copy of the government issued DD214 was necessary. Understandable to validate military service. Then.. was advised since the vehicle was in the name of my wife, was told a copy of a marriage license was necessary. Fortunately I had both items stored on my PC and emailed both with a request to confirm receipt by the dealership. No confirming email or phone call received after a considerable wait. Called the manager, Adan, to check on the receipt. He said to email to him. I did with a request he confirm receipt. No confirmation from him. I called, oh yes it is here. xxx. No follow through. My wife signed a dozen or more forms with the assumption we would be given copies. No. Was told they were for them. I would like copies. Regarding the car. It is beautiful. My wife is very happy with it. Time will tell what the quality of the service is from the other side of the dealership. I was a business owner for many years and had serious responsibility in war. Finish the job. Don't waste my timing performing your follow up. Please forward all the forms signed to conduct the transaction. Regarding recommending the dealership. I have no basis for an opinion yet other than my initial experience so I answered no.but in reality it should say unsure. Addendum by my wife: December 12, 2018: My experience with O’Brien motors was very pleasant. Specifically I felt that Michael Tedder was a very good salesman. He is an asset to your staff! He is a friendly and engaging young man. He is knowledgeable and open to finding an answer if he is unsure. He was a big part of my deciding to lease my Hyundai Tucson Ultimate from O’Brien. I also found Chris Scalfani and Adan Hernandez very nice to deal with that day. I felt that they all worked together to try to make the process as smooth as possible. Please note I wrote the first part of this review 10 days with no response from anyone at the dealership.. More
