I will never by another vehicle here again. Their service dept is horrible. After waiting 4 1/2 hours & then being told my car hadn't even been looked at yet, I was offered a ride home. 4 hour Their service dept is horrible. Very disappointing experience with Hyundai of Fort Myers. I recently purchased a vehicle from Hyundai of Fort Myers, and unfortunately the experience after the sale has been extremely frustrating. Duri I recently purchased a vehicle from Hyundai of Fort Myers, and unfortunately the experience after the sale has been extremely frustrating. During the purchase, I was sold several additional protection products, including Appearance Protection, Windshield Treatment, and a Hyundai Protection Plan. I do not feel that the terms, limitations, and cancellation conditions of these products were clearly explained to me before I purchased them. In particular, I did not understand that some of these $900 protection products would be considered non-cancelable and non-refundable. After reviewing my paperwork, I immediately started trying to cancel the additional products I did not want. This turned into an exhausting process. I made numerous phone calls, sent emails, contacted the warranty companies, and repeatedly tried to reach the dealership and the manager who handled my purchase. I was even instructed during the cancellation process to complete an Odometer Disclosure Statement. Because the document required notarization, I paid for a mobile notary to come to my home so I could complete everything correctly and submit the requested documentation as quickly as possible. After spending all of this time and additional money, I was finally told that the two $900 Dealer General Warranty products were non-cancelable and non-refundable. What frustrates me most is that I feel this should have been clearly explained to me when these products were being sold to me. Had I fully understood that I was paying $900 for Appearance Protection and another $900 for a Windshield Treatment that could not later be canceled, I would have made a different decision. Communication after the sale was also extremely disappointing. I repeatedly called and tried to reach the manager who sold me the vehicle, and getting clear answers was extremely difficult. I was eventually able to cancel my separate Hyundai Protection Plan, but getting through this entire process required far more phone calls, emails, research, paperwork and stress than should ever be necessary after buying a vehicle. My advice to anyone purchasing a vehicle here: before signing anything, ask for the exact price of every add-on product separately, ask whether each product is cancelable and refundable, and read the cancellation section of every contract yourself before signing. I like the vehicle, but the experience surrounding the additional products and the lack of clear communication after the sale made this one of the most frustrating car-buying experiences I have had.
