The most lied to experience I've ever had at a auto dealership! Felix Nieves lll called us andd said our lease was almost and he had a buyer for our car. We went to the dealership and he showed us the 2017 Sonata.I Felix Nieves lll called us andd said our lease was almost and he had a buyer for our car. We went to the dealership and he showed us the 2017 Sonata.I explained to Felix, the Vet Admin.gave me a scooter and I needed a vehicle that would carry the scooter and the lift. Felix said the Sonata would do so with no proplem as he" had seen lots of scooters on the rear of Sonatas" I said I would like to wait and see what was required by the VA for a lift. At the time, I did not know. Felih said it was no reason to wait, he "knew the car would work. Well, the VE said the car would need a Class 3 hitch. Problem no. 1; nobody makes a Class 3 hitch for a Sonata and the car is not strong enough for the scooter. Then we were called in to the dealership to sign a second lease contract. It seems Hyundai Finance billed ue $12000.00+/_ for late charges on the 2014 Hyundai Elantra we traded in. The reason for the late charge is I was told by the Hyundai of NPR I could select the payment date to coinside with my Social Security deposit in my checking account on the 4th Wed. of each month. They took their payments each and every month for almost 2 years had passed. They notified me my payments were due on the 15th of the month. The dealership was wrong in telling mg I could change my due date and it took Honda Finance almost 2 years to say I couldn't do that.. I think the dealership was wrong in adding that late chage o this lease. Also, hyundai Finance said the received $947.84 as payment, not the $1200.00+/- that was added to the lease.I have asked for but have not received a copy of the second lease we signed.Felix said "they have the write a third lease agreement, and I would get a copy of that one. I had to wait almost a week to speak to a manager, about the Class 3 hitch because he was in Hawaii. Well that didn't work as I still have not spoken to him. Felix told me" they did not have a vehicle big enough to carry my scooter and I would have to get a commercial van." " Also when I went anywhere, I would have to get a walker or a wheelchair to take with me to use". I am a veteran and 81 years old and I do take offense to that remark I did talk with a manager named Eric who said he would find a hitgh that would fit the Sonata and would satisfy the requirements for the scooter. He told me he would call me July 17th. So far I have heard nothing, and I don't expect to. I could go on but I know this will fall on deaf ears. At this point, my onlr remorse is to contact the TV stations and tell them of the problems (there are more) I will tell everyone I come in contact with about the treatment I'v received. This Sonata I now have is my third and last Hyundai from Hyundai of New Port Richey. More
