Ripping off a senior citizen My 91 year old father financed a new Sonata and was very happy with it. With adds being sent to his home on a regular basis claiming they can reduce h My 91 year old father financed a new Sonata and was very happy with it. With adds being sent to his home on a regular basis claiming they can reduce his payments he went down there to check it out. What the fast talkers talked him into was a lease program and out of his purchase. So instead of having equity in the car that he had, he will end up handing them the keys in a few years and walk away with absolutely nothing The typical fast talking sales manager beat him down until he agreed to the lease. So for a reduced payment of less than $20.00 a month he'll walk away with absolutely nothing when returning the car. My father called me exhausted after he went home and told me how bad he was treated. I immediately called the sales manager and he told me, "we have plenty of old people coming in and it's not our fault they don't know what their doing." What?? I asked if we could please undo the deal and get his car back but was told nope, the deal is done! Of course they wouldn't undo it since he only drives about 1,000 miles monthly. Be afraid....Be very afraid of these thieves taking advantage of senior citizens. More
