Great car; horribile dealership In April 2016, we purchased a Sante Fe Sport from Henrick Hyundai North in North Charleston, and while we love the vehicle, I wish there were a way to In April 2016, we purchased a Sante Fe Sport from Henrick Hyundai North in North Charleston, and while we love the vehicle, I wish there were a way to give the dealership less than one star. If I could give it zero stars, I would. What should have been the easiest sale in that dealership's history has turned into a nightmare for us. We had already test-driven a Sante Fe Sport at the Savannah Highway dealership, and even worked out the "deal" there. But they didn't have a white one with all the bells and whistles. So, the next morning, when I saw online that the North dealership had a white one in stock, we called and asked that they hold it for us. Arriving at the dealership an hour later, the car was already prepped and waiting on us, so without even driving it around the lot, we went in to sign the papers. An hour or so later, thinking we were finished, we drove away, happy with my wife's new SUV. That's when the nightmare started. Over the next week, we were sent, via email, two documents they "forgot" to have us sign - no big deal really, but it should have been a sign of the incompetence permeating the Hendrick Hyundai North staff. Now, four months later, as I am trying to renew the tags on MY car - the one we kept, the one I drove away in as my wife drove home in the Sante Fe - I find out from DMV that my tag number is now registered to my wife's vehicle. What's more, the tag that we asked the dealership to transfer to my wife's Sante Fe is no longer shown in DMV computer records. How they transferred the wrong tag and registration is beyond explanation, since they had the old registration and even the tag they were to transfer in their hands when the paperwork was being completed. They even put the tag that we asked to be transferred on the new car while we were signing all - or at least what we thought was all - the paperwork. Now that we have learned of the problem created by the dealership, no one, especially a Mr. Ernst, the general manager of both the Savannah Highway and North Charleston Hyundai dealerships, will not take or return my calls. So after days of futile attempts to reach him and empty promises that he will call me back, I have resorted to this review, in hopes he will read of our dilemma here. More
