This is my fourth Hyundai in 10 years. Shawn showed me the wisdom in leasing since I trade in every two or three years. He guided me through the process professionally and with patience and humor. In the end I drove off in a hybrid and am tickled pink - I walked in adament about NOT having one of those! I am quite pleased with the savings in gas mileage. I've put 200 miles on my new Sonota so far and still haven't hit my maximum milege in my 2011 Tuscun yet! Shawn was just great - he didn't leave me in the office or showroom for long periods of time - stayed with me throughout. I love my new car and will send EVERYONE directly to him! For most of us, buying a vehicle is nothing more than a dreaded task, but I can assure you that dealing with Shawn Couch was by far the very best experience I personally have ever encountered. My mother wanted to purchase a vehicle, and I live in another state, so I was doing a lot of research for her. I visited the Dealerrater site and researched several dealerships. Mr. Couch has a lot of reviews so I decided to give him a call. We spoke back and forth for a few days, and then I had my mother go see him. Even as they spoke, I was listening in on speaker phone. I was more than impressed the way Shawn handled the entire situation, and even more impressed with his informative professionalism. He made sure that we knew everything that was about to take place, and though that may not seem like much, but for anyone buying a vehicle, we all know how we, the customers, just sit there waiting for whatever next is supposed to happen. Knowing in advance means a lot to me, and even my mother picked up on this too. Mr. Couch introduced my mother, and me as well over the phone, to several employees at the dealership before making sure my mother knew every single aspect of her new Hyundai. He not only explained how the features work, but he had my mother work them for herself. Not once did we feel rushed, pushed, or pressured at all, and that too is an experience I will never forget. Mr. Couch even told my mother that if she ever needed him for anything, anything at all, please don't hesitate to call him, and it doesn't have to be car related. For a son who resides out of state, hearing him say that simply put the icing on the cake! Sales people all over certainly could learn from Mr. Couch, and then people like me wouldn't be on the offense so much when we are in the market to purchase a vehicle. When I am ready for another vehicle, I certainly will not hesitate to find Mr. Couch and deal with him. More

This is my second vehicle purchased at Hendrick Hyundai North. Having been a part of the Hendrick family for many years, it came as no surprise to me that I would again receive superlative service. It was a comfortable, smooth, and non-problematical purchase, based mostly on the efforts of Shawn Couch. It is no surprise that he wears the "President's Club" ring for his knowledge, professionalism, courtesy and overall salesmanship made my buying experience a pleasurable one. I know that management was involved in the overall deal, but it is the people in the trenches, like Shawn Couch, that make it either memorable or monstrous. Mine was memorable, and I'll continue to be a part of the Hendrick (and specificall Hyundai) family in the future. Rest assured that I will also be happy to refer anyone interested in a vehicle to this dealership. More

A Not So Happy Ending To A Great Customer Service Experience, My purchase experience at Hendrick Hyundai North began with James Gourdine (Sales Consultant) and Tommy Haskel (Finance Manage). I can't say enough about the customer service experience that I received from these two men. They both listened to my needs and at no time did they pressure me during the purchasing process. The problem that I experienced with my vehicle was only partly resolved. I explained that the leaking Vacuum Pump is something that should have been found and corrected prior to my purchase of the vehicle. DonSmith indicated that it is possible that the vacuum pump might have had a small leak but it was not noted/nor disclosed in the notes performed nor was I made aware of this issue in any form. If this is indeed the case, it further supports my earlier statement of "deceptive practices" by Hendrick Hyundai North. The 34 Point inspection by Hendrick Hyundai North is substandard and should be questioned at every level. Finally, after speaking with Don Smith (Service Manager) and emailing a detailed letter to Dawn Goldys (Public Relations Manager) neither one of them had the professionalism to contact me. Instead, they tossed one of their subordinates under the bus to deliver the bad news that they were not going to fix the leaking Vacuum Pump. As you can see, they not only do not value their customers but they do not value their employees. Once an issue has escalated to a management level, it should end at that level. Buyers beware and you should exhaust every effort before making a purchase from Hendrick Hyundai North! John S. More
