If I could give less than one star that would be my rating.I scheduled my appointment for 12:45 today:When I arrived the young man sitting at the first desk was busy.I should’ve waited on him.The young rating.I scheduled my appointment for 12:45 today:When I arrived the young man sitting at the first desk was busy.I should’ve waited on him.The young lady at the second seat asked if she could help me.Sure I said .I told her I had an appointment and she got my name and looked it up.She said yes you do.Pull your car into the service area.I did.The guy came to my car and asked me what I was having done.Which I thought was strange since the lady told me to pull my car inside.Any long story short.I had been here for two hours so I got up to see what’s going on.I see my car in the back parking lot.The lady at the desk is acting baffled.xxx is going on.My car was never even looked at.I needed to speak to the manager I have been here for two hours are you kidding me.While I wait to speak to the manager another customer is talking to him.They wanted to charge her for factory recalls,really. This has to be a joke.Also another young lady has some missing keys?They had her vehicle for a month and now they can’t find her car keys!,,This place is a joke.The manager by the name of Aaron offers to change my oil now.Excuse sir what are you doing about my 2 hours that I spent in your lobby!,,Nothing!,,,Wow.I would not let you touch my car with a 10 foot pole.You are a terrible manager and I don’t know why Rick Hendricks still has you employed.It wasn’t until I got home that I realized where I remembered him from.He worked at another shop, still Rick Hendricks, and his employees broke my van door. I took it in to be serviced and they broke it.zit would not accept responsibility then and nor does he now.I will never take my car back to Hyundai of North Charleston ever again.Folks make the drive to Myrtle beach, savannah, Greenville or Hilton head.Do not and I repeat do not purchase or get service from this place.Mark my words you will be disappointed.Look at the reviews.Aaron could’ve easily made this a better situation but he did nothing. What a difference in this dealership! I was shocked at the difference in service and graciousness. I had to return due to a warranty issue(dreading it) and stepped into an amazing transfo I was shocked at the difference in service and graciousness. I noticed that the waiting customers were being updated on their wait times and everything was running smoothly.. I was so impressed with the difference that I spoke with a salesperson about upgrading my Tucson to a Palisade. I would definitely recommend this dealership and their service department. More
Do NOT trust the service dept at this dealership. They lie about work they've done on your vehicle. Had my car there for 2 months for recalls and nothing that they said they did was done. There is a short white woman in the service department who have several complaints. She has the poorest form of customer service. She did not attempt to call me back, nor did she answer the phone from the number she called me from. I then got a call 15 minutes later from a sales person trying to buy my car back. My father just recently passed, and I was dealing with not having a vehicle. This was the most insensitive sh.t I've ever had to deal with. I filed a complaint against them an requested to speak to the GM of the dealership. More

Purchase a new car Santa Cruz, after signing the papers went out to get my car asked where the floor mats were and was told that it didn't come with any. Called Hyundai and they said they didn't know of an went out to get my car asked where the floor mats were and was told that it didn't come with any. I would advise people NOT to buy a Hyundai based alone on the Service Center at this location. The nearest other Services Center is Myrtle Beach or Hilton Head. My car buying experience was great. The “after”, when you have to deal with the Service Center, is when you wish you had researched the Service Department. My first experience with the Service Department is when I brought my four month old vehicle in to be seen for the paint warranty (huge pieces flaking off after one trip on the highway). I was spoke down to by the service manager and told that if I wanted to see if it was a manufacturer’s defect I would have to take it to a collision shop, at my expense, to have the paint tested. He was rude and condescending. I left and called Hyundai Customer Care. They informed me that I could take it to the Hilton Head, or Myrtle Beach location, with no charge to myself. The Service Manager never mentioned these options. Today I arrived at the Service Department at 12:45 for a 1:00 appointment (oil change/tire rotation). I overheard numerous people complaining about their wait (2-4 hrs) without being given an update. I spoke with a gentleman who had been waiting two hours for a scheduled maintenance (oil change/tire rotation) and was just told it would be another hour when he spoke up. I went and asked about my vehicle (1:30) and was told that one worker didn’t show up (that worker must do the majority of work at this location). I asked why I wasn’t called or told at check in that they were running 3 hours behind and the worker shrugged her shoulders. She then went to check and said my vehicle was being taken back and should be ready in a hour. I do not understand the lack of organization in this Service Department. They have an abundance of workers that could call and reschedule appointments or at least give clients a heads up when they check in. More
2016 Sonata engine burns oil only 90% covered and no car to drive while your vehicle is being repaired. They said I can go rent a car and take it up with Hyundai motors of America. Whom may or may not refun to drive while your vehicle is being repaired. They said I can go rent a car and take it up with Hyundai motors of America. Whom may or may not refund me. Oil is changed every 3000 I have records no engine should need replacement at 62,000 ridiculous this should be covered by the warranty in full. At the very least give a car to drive while repairs being made for weeks. Very disappointed with this service. More
We are from out of town and were involved in an incident that caused us to blow a tire. They were fantastic; got in as emergent and even had someone drop us at a nearby restaurant as we had not eaten all da that caused us to blow a tire.
