I had tried for months to purchase a Kia electric car on line to be shipped to me. Time after time, I got no support from any of the dealers I had contacted including two times cars being sold from under m line to be shipped to me. Time after time, I got no support from any of the dealers I had contacted including two times cars being sold from under me while I was in the process of sending in money for the purchase. It was all turned around when a vehicle at North Charleston caught my eye. Not only was the salesperson, Thomas Conlon, incredibly helpful and supportive in the purchase but the dealership itself helped to expedite the purchase with no snags. I am very grateful for their help. More
No one at this dealership ever follows up or does their job. I had it there for almost 2 weeks and got absolutely nothing at all done. Then they were supposed to have ordered parts which never happened. No job. I had it there for almost 2 weeks and got absolutely nothing at all done. I was called by a representative Barbra and told that I need to replace my starter and battery after having my car towed in for engine stalling due to the Major engine recall going on with hyundia vehicles need to replace my starter and battery after having my car towed in for engine stalling due to the Major engine recall going on with hyundia vehicles. I was called and told that I needed to replace my starter and battery for a total of over $800. And that they couldn't perform the update until this was done !! Barbra told me numerous times that nothing could Be done until it least purchased a battery due to the car not starting. When I pushed back on the starter I was told then the update could Be made with just the battery . I decide to come to the dealership where I was informed that NO diagnostics had been performed, no testing had been done, and that they were going to look at it now. What?!?! And charge my battery and then update the software and check the starter !?!? Afer 2 hours they charged the battery ( although barbara was trying to get me to buy a new one) and the head service manager shares that it was just my battery! Barbara was ready to take my full payment for the starter! what a crook!! STAY AWAY From this dealership no apologies were extended and no care for customer service. This place is a Joke and they don't have integrity or value honesty. More
Every visit to this dealer has been an exercise in frustration. Yesterday, after driving 1.5 hours to an appointment for a recall I was informed that they didn't have the parts. I had made this appointment a couple of weeks earlier, so I asked why no one contacted me to tell me the parts weren't available. I was told by the Service Manager "we don't provide that service". Don't ever buy a car or get service from this disaster. More
This dealership kept my car for a month and located a serious issue in the engine. It is a well documented issue that Hyundai corporation has admitted...an issue that has been commonly associated with m serious issue in the engine. The problem is a loud knocking in the engine caused by a defective piston. This problem is 100% no fault of the consumer. However corporate Hyundai denied my claim and told me I would have to spend between 6-8,000 in order to replace the engine to in turn have a functioning car. Upon receiving the unfortunate news that I would be financially responsible for fixing the mechanical issue I was instructed to pick up my car. I picked up the car after the service center was closed and it was dark outside. I drove home to Mount Pleasant and parked my car in our garage. As I left in themorning I noticed a HUGE dent in the left passenger door. I immediately drove to the dealership to inform them of the damage. I asked to see the camera footage to see who hit my car. After a few employees began running around like deer in headlights I was able to speak to the service manager. I was told by the service advisor that there were cameras however the service manager informed me that there were no cameras except for a dummy camera and a camera on the safe. I called the police to report the accident and a report was filed on site. I was then given the number of the owner/ general manager John Booth. He had conveniently just left. I was told he would be happy to speak with me on Monday. I reluctantly left in my Hyundai that now not only had a defective engine but now had substantial body damage. I called first thing Monday morning and left a voicemail for the owner to call me back. For days following I called to discuss the situation and left messages with various employees for Mr Booth. I’m still waiting for his call. I also called corporate Hyundai and was told they are closed due to the pandemic. I filed a detailed report with them about how this dealership refused to communicate with me. After a few days I received an automated response stating that there advice was to contact my local Hyundai dealership...umm WHAT??? This dealership are crooks who refuse to take accountability and apparently it trickles down from the corporation as a whole. They took advantage from beginning to end and left me and my two children in an unsafe vehicle with mechanical and esthetic damage. Thanks Hyundai of North Charleston for failing me and my family from beginning to end. More

We went in to sell a vehicle to them and buy a new vehicle, the vehicle we went to sell was owned by a friend of ours who gave us permission to sell it to them. they agreed to buy the vehicle and sold vehicle, the vehicle we went to sell was owned by a friend of ours who gave us permission to sell it to them. they agreed to buy the vehicle and sold us a new 2020 Santa Fe, however they never paid for the old car or brought it as agreed. Now we are stuck with an extra loan payment with a baby on the way. We went in to get the paperwork from the estimate to purchase the old vehicle which we had to sign with the sales person and now they can't seem to find the paperwork, and have stated that they are not going to honor the agreement as it has been over 3 months to get the paperwork from the owner. (it has only been 2.5 months since we did this agreement). Do not deal with this company go to Columbia and deal with a reputable Hyundai dealer. We spoke with the owner and he said let me go get the paperwork and then just walked by us and went back to his office. DO NOT TRUST THEM. They lie and are cheats, of and by the way they still have the old vehicle as well. ZEKE lies through his teeth. More
$2100 add on package to the new cars. What a joke. I was looking at new cars and they all have $2100 dealer add on packages for worthless junk. $299 for nitrogen in the tires? Total scam. Charge 4299 for a full size spare if you want to charge for something useful. Also, $999 for exterior environmental protection? Nothing more than a wax job and over priced insurance policy. Same with the interior treatment for another outrageous charge. All told $2100 added to the sticker price. Would be OK if the stuff wasn't an overpriced scam. Same dealer trick they been using for decades. If you fall for it you are STUPID. You've been warned. More
