Went in to test drive an Accent and compare it to the Mazda3. Not very impressed with the standard features for the MSRP, but that's not the dealership's fault. The salesman was courteous and seemed to be knowledgeable, and when it became clear that we would not be leaving with a Hyundai that day, the sales manager came to speak with us (as most dealerships do). The sales manager had a very condescending tone and indirectly told us that we would not find what we were looking for: Compact 4-door with some good MPGs (33+), with power windows and locks standard, all for around $17K. When it came up that we had looked at the Mazda3, he looked at us and said (summarily): "Well if that's the car you're looking at, you should have looked at the Elantra." Maybe a good argument, if the Elantra hadn't become almost Camry-sized lately and was MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE 3. My girlfriend and I are both in our mid-twenties, I am an automotive enthusiast, and overall I am very impressed with the turnaround that Hyundai has made over the last 6-8 years in terms of quality. Suffice it to say that even if I lean toward a Hyundai for my next purchase (Genesis coupe, more than likely), Hendrick won't have my business. A shame that they're the only game in town. More
Daniel was friendly, knowledgeble, and understanding as to what I was looking for. I ended up with the car that I really liked. We were not planning on buying a new car until our existing car's timing belt blew with 165,000 miles...fortunately, we had been hearing advertising about Hyundai's 2012 line - so we decided to get an existing car's timing belt blew with 165,000 miles...fortunately, we had been hearing advertising about Hyundai's 2012 line - so we decided to get an Elantra as our rental car and check it out as we figured out what to do. Our car broke down 30 minutes outside of Greenville, Sc and we live in Charleston, SC. We left the car in Greenville on a Monday night without a specific plan - but had to get back to work. With one phone call and 2 emails Hendrick Hyundai North orchestrated our car being delivered to Charleston and even offering a reasonable trade in for a non-operating car! We were treated like royalty by the Hendrick team from the minute we pulled up into the dealership. Courtney had the cars waiting for a test drive and everyone seemed to be 'waiting' for our arrival and how to help. She worked with Sal and within a couple of hours we were on our way to our purchase. Tony was fast, efficient and thorough on warranty and financing issues and for the first time, ever, we actually bought additional services. I have nothing but praise for the team that made a very surprising and difficult situation...easy!! Having your car break down in another city on Friday, renting a car on Monday, driving home and getting an appointment for Saturday to look at cars - and driving off the lot with a new car the same day, the same afternoon!! is extraordinary! It was an extremely productive, seamless and painless experience. I hope to never go through it again - but, I will certainly know where to go!! Thank you, again, Courtney, Sal and Tony. I also want to mention Sears Sauls and his immediate attention to our situation. It was so impressive. I am speechless to think that with everything on his schedule he was able to coordinate the car pick up and create the perfect environment for us to walk in and buy a car in his dealership. Thank you just doesn't seem like enough words to express our gratitude! We sing your praises and encourage anyone to begin with your team if they are considering a new car!! Brought my Hyundai Accent in for the 55,000 mile check, basically an oil change, check up and also to check the brakes. I recommend this dealership because the selection was wide, their pricing was reasonable and their staff was outstanding. I came into the dealership with the goal to purchase a vehicle but not to hag wide, their pricing was reasonable and their staff was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable of the cars, extremely friendly, and very willing to work with me. I told him what I wanted and what price I was willing to go and in no time after he had me signing the paperwork for exactly the car I wanted and exactly the price I wanted to spend. The fact that this dealership was willing to work with me sealed the deal and I walked out of there with a car! I would recommend anyone to this dealership and if you get the chance to work with Troy White, do so! More
