The experience at Hyundai of North Miami was amazing. I was greeted very warmly since I put in the request to view the car. I went into the store in late April with an auto advisor from my bank. I was preapproved for the selected vehicle. Hector S. was a great and thorough sales rep, even in helping me resolve issues after purch from my bank. I was preapproved for the selected vehicle. Hector S. was a great and thorough sales rep, even in helping me resolve issues after purchase. I was contacted a week ago by Hector Mota, the general manager who was very rude and distasteful. He lead by accusing me of not making payments and having a “word of mouth “ deal due to their lack of documentation. Him and a colleague expressed the representative who handled my transaction no longer works there and they have NO DOCUMENTATION of attempts to contact me or my bank for payment. He threatened to repossess my car multiple times and was reluctant to answer my questions or give me clarity on this issue. He instead demanded that I act as the liaison to get them paid. He said “ I’m stopping this right now. I get you want to ask all the questions, but your focus needs to be helping us get paid because I could’ve been put out a repo on your car”. This was unsettling to me as he doesn’t seem like a man of good character or integrity and he has access to my ssn , address, banking info, etc. He didn’t speak to me with respect and disregarded my concern that I had made my first payment with the bank a few days prior and have been trying get in contact with someone about my expired dealer tag. It seems that the ex employee was negligent in filing my paperwork being that he accused me of a “word of mouth deal” and didn’t have a record of means they contacted the bank nor me directly. My bank was able to reach out and guide him through the process to rectify this issue, they indeed did not list the bank as the lien holder to be issued payment. The bank was able to provide dates and methods of contact for them reaching out on my behalf since April with no resolve from the dealership. As of yesterday, I did not receive a call to ensure the situation was resolved nor apologize for the disrespect and mistreatment. I called in myself for Hector Mota to hang up in face. Thankfully I was able to get in contact with Hector S who ensured me he was able to resolve it and took the initiative to hear my concerns and work on getting a new dealer tag, which has been expired for a month. As a customer, I wish I would have vetted this place a bit more and shopped around to ensure I was purchasing from a place who tests their customers with respect and understanding, especially with it being a expensive depreciating asset like a 20k vehicle with a 6year contract.
