I had an appointment at noon with Lehman Hyundai for a manufacturer recall to replace the cap for the brake fluid reservoir and put a sticker on my owners manual. The actual work should only take a couple of minutes. I arrived a minute before noon but I had to wait 20 minutes to even talk to a service writer. His name is Austin and he was very pleasant, but he told me the car would not be ready for an hour and a half. In reality, the car was not ready until 2:30. Since I had an appointment, and all of the work could have been done in a few minutes by just walking over to the parts department, getting the required cap, walking back to my car, popping the hook and replacing the cap, I am infuriated that it took 2.5 hours from the time I arrived to when I left. Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, my previous service writer, Jason Cignoni, who no longer works at the dealership, would have fixed the issue quickly and not have allowed it to drag out for such an extended time.
