BUYERS BEWARE! I’ve been buying cars for more than 20 years and I’ve never experienced a place like Infiniti of Englewood. The entire experience was disastrous from beginning to end. AVOID THIS CAR DEA years and I’ve never experienced a place like Infiniti of Englewood. The entire experience was disastrous from beginning to end. AVOID THIS CAR DEALERSHIP AT ALL COST! My experience started with me calling and scheduling an appointment for a specific vehicle I found online. I gave the woman that I spoke with the stock number and she confirmed the car was available. I then drove 2 hours after work on a week night to go to my scheduled appointment. As I pulled up to the dealership, an employee called to tell me that they could not find the keys and NOT TO COME. I explained that I had just arrived and that I drove 2 hours. We looked around the dealership for a little bit and could not locate the keys so they started talking numbers. With the car being a 2021 vehicle added with the fact that I had the prior generation, I was comfortable with talking numbers. I had every intention to purchase the car. I even came with pre-approved financing in hand. This should have been their easiest sale of the year but this dealership failed at every opportunity. On to their shady Sales practices and how they attempted to steal that’s right STEAL the equity I acquired in my trade. My Sales person, Robert White went and “spoke with” the finance manager. My previous car had a balance of $14k. Infiniti of Englewood offered my $14k for my trade. Thankfully, I had done my research and even had the car appraised previously so I knew my car was valued over $24,000. That’s right, they tried to offer me TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS LESS THAN MY CAR WAS WORTH! I understand they’re in the business to make money but TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS?!?! BE AWARE OF THE TYPE OF COMPANY YOU ARE DEALING WITH FOLKS! And to add insult to injury, they padded the price of the new car. Needless to say I declined their offer. They adjust the numbers to something that made more sense and asked me to leave a FIVE THOUSAND DOLLAR deposit for a car I had yet to see! I declined to leave $5,000 but agreed to leave $1,000 which was my own stupidity given all the red flags up to this point but hey, it is a 2021 BMW! One owner. Low mileage. Clean Carfax report. What could possibly be wrong with the car, right? I agree to come back the next day to close the deal once they find the paperwork. That was a Wednesday night. Thursday comes and goes. No keys. Friday, no keys. Finally, by Saturday I call the dealership and Robert and say I’m not going to move forward given my lack of confidence in the dealership at this point and requested a refund of my $1,000 deposit. Chris, the Manager asked me to email him my Amex card number so that he could have my refund processed. I declined to do so. Who sends their credit card number by unsecured email AND what business would ask a customer to do so??? He then asked me to call back Monday morning. I called the entire day Monday. It got so bad that I threatened the receptionist Susan because she hung up on me! Just unprofessional at every single turn. Well, it’s Tuesday morning and still NO REFUND. Again, BUYERS BE VERY AWARE! AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP! it’s just not worth the hassle nor the headache. Like I said, this should have been a fast close Sale but they failed big time. Each employee I worked with in this experience set timing expectations that they failed to meet. “I will call you in the morning”, “I’ll call you in an hour”, “I’ll have your refund processed within the hour”. ALL LIES! Saturday, I found the same car with even lower mileage on CarMax’s website. Had the car appraised by them same day. They offered me $24,600! Yes, TWENTY FOUR THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS. I used my more than $10k in equity and my $60,000 blank check from my bank and closed that day! My new car is sitting in my garage while I continue to fight with Infinity of Englewood to get my $1,000 refund. It’s sad that people can be so incompetent and dishonest but this is the world we live in I guess. If I don’t receive my refund today, I’ll be contacting the BBB. More
