When I first walked into the service department, I was bummed. I didn’t see the faces I’m used to seeing of the advisors who know my name. I’ve worked with them for many years. He was so professional and so nice. He was also real and clearly not trying to sell me on anything. He just gave me the facts. I absolutely enjoyed our conversation. I was grateful to be able to schedule a same-day appointment; however, my recent experience was very disappointing. I came in for an oil change and tire rotation and also hoped to schedule a reco appointment; however, my recent experience was very disappointing. I came in for an oil change and tire rotation and also hoped to schedule a recommended service from a prior visit, along with wiper replacement. The Headlight Restoration service is listed on your website at $349.99. In a prior appointment, I was provided a discounted recommended price of $310.00. I also have a text message stating: “And the headlight restoration was quoted improperly so that would be considered a fixed price at a menu price at $159.99 instead of $310.” Despite this, during my visit today I was quoted $212.66 for the same service. I am unable to understand how the price continues to change for an identical service, particularly when I was previously advised there was a fixed menu price. Additionally, when I scheduled my oil change online, the quoted price was $75.76. Upon arrival, I was told the price was $85. When I questioned the discrepancy, I was advised that if I could locate a coupon, it would be honored at checkout. I was later told this was likely due to a 10% online scheduling coupon, which was eventually honored. Still, this lack of pricing transparency was frustrating. I will still be completing the recommended service, but not through the dealership. I was especially shocked and dismayed to be referred to another company for a service that your dealership itself recommended. Historically, I have chosen to maintain my vehicle through the dealership because of integrity and trust. Unfortunately, this experience has left me questioning whether that remains a priority at IRA. More
