Never Delivered Vehicle after 10 weeks I purchased a vehicle through Prime Subaru on February 27th 2019. The check engine light was on, but I was told by my sales man Steve it had been to the dealership and diagnosed, as shown in the carfax report they provided. Steve was great I'd buy a car from him in the future if it isn't through prime. The following week I called looking for the truck since a catalytic converter replacement is a quick job. I was told they were working on it and it should be ready by the end of the week. A couple of weeks later and multiple blown delivery dates I was offered a loaner vehicle. I declined and asked for a remote start installed. Around the first month of waiting and being told it was almost ready I received a loaner truck. On 3/25 the sales manager left me a message stating they wanted to back out of the deal. I asked to speak with him and the general manager. We sat down in which I had waited that long for the vehicle I wanted it delivered per the contract. John (general manager) proceeded to ask me if I was trying to play hardball and started screaming at me demanding his loaner returned on the spot after I mentioned I felt I was being jerked around with all these blown delivery dates. On April 3rd the sales manager left me a voicemail asking me to come in to meet with them about the truck. John stated he was told it would need a short block which I said didn't make sense for the code it was throwing (lean bank 1) and he would put an engine in if I wouldn't back out. I figured a week to have an engine replaced tops. The loaner vehicle was swapped out for another, and Gus told me to make sure I am making my payments. 4/8 Gus called and said engines are expensive so they wanted to bring it elsewhere for another opinion. 4/11 the truck was suppedly rediagnosed and should be ready soon. On 4/19 I was told some parts were back ordered and I should expect the truck the following week. On 4/29 I was told the truck was almost ready they were wrapping it up. Gus would not tell me where the truck was being worked on, it was previously at ford of londonderry because "they try to support shops within the prime group" On 5/8 I decided prime had no intention of delivering the vehicle since it was at a factory dealership for over 2 months and decided to go else where. I was advised even though the contract stated after 8 weeks I could back out if the vehicle was never delivered with no penalty and any money returned I was locked in since I made my payments. Which made sense as to why Gus told me to make sure I pay for it. On the 9th John agreed to pay back the original loan amount plus the interest I paid. He said instead of them writing me a check for the total amount he would write a check for the interest and pay the lender directly. I received a check that night for my interest. 5/14 I noticed they only paid the payoff which did not include 2 months of principal. John stated he felt I had been "made whole" since they had given me a loaner and I "made payments to keep the contract together". I made the payments to purchase the vehicle which was never delivered. More

Service Plans "bumper to bumper" April 2018 we bought a 2015 Subaru Outback. The vehicle had been a lease. The price was expensive but my wife liked the car. The finance guy (Vietnam April 2018 we bought a 2015 Subaru Outback. The vehicle had been a lease. The price was expensive but my wife liked the car. The finance guy (Vietnamese guy working on Saturday, April 7, 2018 so we all know who this was) sold us a "Bumper to bumper" 100,000 mile maintenance plan. I don't know what we paid for that plan but both me and my wife remember him saying "bumper to bumper" over and over. I do remember it being in the thousands of dollars for the plan. We got a coupon book in the mail for the maintenance. Very 1980s like. Very unnecessary except designed to make life hard on the buyer to use the plan. It's only good at the Manchester location and it was sold to me by the Manchester location and yet the maintenance department doesn't have it in their computer database. Very 1980s. Very designed to make life hard on the buyer. The plan was not at all bumper to bumper. It covers oil changes and tire rotations and a multi-point inspection (all car dealers love to do the inspection so they can find things wrong and charge to fix them so calling this a feature I'm paying for seems like a terrible business practice and really lets just call it a scam). So, when I was told that things like a 30,000 mile check up would be covered and a 60,000 check up would be covered that was a 100% a lie. Some parts are covered for 30,000 miles but otherwise it's oil changes and tire rotations for 6 years or 100,000 which is not the 10 year/100,000 plan I was told I was buying (and actually it's only 72,000 miles for parts of this plan - the oil change part). And looking at the coupon book I don't even see tire rotation. Nothing was real. This was absolute theft. I looks like I paid thousands of dollars for 6 years of oil changes. And since these discussions with the finance guy aren't recorded there is really no record of what was said and what was sold to me. I do know that on his chart we bought the best "bumper to bumper" plan he had to offer. I have a paper saying Platinum. I can't imagine what the worst plan included. Let's hope there isn't a lot of maintenance needed, although today I am getting new tires because one tire was already going bad when I bought the car. The car has 27,000 miles on it. I've put in 9000 miles in the last year since I bought the car. This is a stupid $800 to have to spend. What does a platinum bumper to bumper plan include and if Subaru responds, why was I consistently told this was a bumper to bumper plan when the service team feels this is an oil change and tire rotation.
