We then braced ourselves for the stressful back and forth interchange, number crunching, shell game that we knew was coming. We did our due diligence and visited multiple dealers and then we received a call from Jack Berkowitz of Manchester Subaru in response to our query about our trade-in. Because of a prior issue I had with the service department there, I had not even considered visiting them. Jack and I had a very truthful and frank discussion, perhaps with me doing more talking and him doing more listening. Jack convinced me that Manchester Subaru was doing everything to offer customers the very best in a car owning experience from purchase through the life of the vehicle. Jack assured me that the dealership heard and listened to customers, and that they had made critical changes to address customer issues. Jack also provided both my wife and I something that I can only call an "out of body" car buying experience. To state it succinctly, it was simply amazing! According to Jack, however, our experience is simply what he does because he values each and every customer. To be sure each and every new car buying experience will be different. I was referred to Manchester Subaru by a friend who purchased his last car there and is in the process of purchasing his next car from them. I was hesitant because the dealership is over 100 miles awa purchased his last car there and is in the process of purchasing his next car from them. I was hesitant because the dealership is over 100 miles away from me, but figured I'd give them a shot at it. I called and asked for Jack Berkowitz and within 10 seconds was greeted by the owner, Todd Berkowitz, explaining that Jack was on the lot and offering his assistance. I gave him the specs on the car I wanted, provided my email address and within 15 minutes had a quote. I was working back and forth with two other dealers attempting to get my best price . . . Manchester beat both of them. I had my old car sold and made a phone call to finalize that, but found out the deal wasn't going to happen. So I had to throw a trade into the deal as well. The trade value I got from each of the dealerships was not what I needed it to be, but only one of them listened to my reasoning, understood where we had to get to in order to close the deal, and then gave it to me . . . Manchester Subaru. Todd respectfully did everything via email with me, (because that's how I asked for us to do it), and made it easy to buy a car from them. Jack called to take credit application info over the phone, then delivered the car the next day where I signed paperwork from the comfort of my own home. He took the time to review the car's features with my wife, made sure all of our questions were answered, then drove away with our trade-in. Todd and Jack were courteous, professional, friendly and the process of buying a car from them was truly painless. They took the time to understand my situation, knew what I needed, and then had the ability to make it happen, without hours and hours of back and forth negotiating. I got the car my wife wanted at the price I wanted, delivered to my door. You can't ask for anymore than that. I couldn't be happier with my experience with Todd and Jack at Manchester Subaru and my wife couldn't be happier with her new Outback . . . these guys want to sell cars and go further than other dealers in order to do it.
