I had an appt for 25K service on my 2021Tacoma on Monday Oct 2nd at 9:40am. I received a call stating that you were short staffed and I needed to reschedule. I rescheduled for 9:40 am Wednesday Oct 4th. W Oct 2nd at 9:40am. I received a call stating that you were short staffed and I needed to reschedule. I rescheduled for 9:40 am Wednesday Oct 4th. When I arrived I was told that I'd be informed as soon at the truck was ready since I would be waiting for it in the waiting room. At 11:30 I asked how soon it would be done and was told that the emissions inspection was complete but the maintenance hadn't started and there was one vehicle in front of me. I was never told you were still short staffed and was told the the 25k maintenance was just rotating tires and topping off fluid. I was told that I could reschedule yet again or skip the 25k maintenance all together, I opted to skip it. The service rep was very polite and sympathetic but this was a complete waste of my time. If I was informed ahead of time I would have made other arrangements. Sine my complementary 2 year service period is up, I will probably start looking for other service options. I liked this dealer until today when it took 8 hours for routine maintenance and the low oil, check engine, hybrid and brake system failure lights went on when I was driving home. My recent experience was unacceptable. Deceptive advertising was sent to lead me to believe I would be charged a very low service charge. The service representative failed to inform me of the misleading low price baiting when I stated I would be using the advertised $9.95 special offer. I waited nearly two hours at the dealership for a simple oil and filter change. Orleans Toyota no longer offers the good home town service of years past. More
