I had been agonizing as to what vehicle I might purchase to replace a current vehicle that my daughter was taking to college. I was concerned about my choice, the hassle of shopping and comparing value, et to replace a current vehicle that my daughter was taking to college. I was concerned about my choice, the hassle of shopping and comparing value, etc. Finally on a Sunday, I force myself to visit Irwin Auto Zone to begin my search and was happy to find the availability of salesman Howard Cullen - the only one on duty. He was relatively busy assisting several customers like myself but he made both myself and my wife feel important, took the time to direct us to several possible choices and during the process I noticed a used vehicle that appealed to me, a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee recently traded in for a new vehicle. At our request he immediately provided plates and the key for a test drive and was extremely pleasant, informative and well presented. I enjoyed his honesty and demeanor and upon returning the vehicle, I requested he offer me a selling price after discussing my pending offer on Monday when the full staff would return. Upon his call mid morning, I asked to take the vehicle for another test ride and when returning, made an offer which we both agreed would be acceptable and I was very satisfied with the concession to make the agreement and he assured me it would be ready by Thursday ahead of my request of no later than Friday. I found the vehicle clean, tested, inspected and ready to take possession at noon and I am happy to say that my experience was not stressful nor disappointing. I attributed much of it to Howard's professionalism and follow up but I also am happy to have renewed my relationship with Irwin Automotive and the family of Peter and Chris Irwin who I am sure are proud to have such a valuable employee and wonderful history of service and sales for many years. I purchased a 2009 Certified Camry from Irwin this past Tuesday and it was the first time in my life I've purchased a car and felt good about it. Within five minutes of sending an inquiry Samantha Dougless called me and was professional, courteous and knowledgeble. After that I spoke with Crystal Stevens, who was wonderful from start to finish. Over the phone she helped us with securing the car, figuring out financing and working out a deal for our trade. When I arrived at the dealership, Crystal greeted me like an old friend. She was extremely respectful of my time and the fact that I'd traveled from out of state and had everything in order. The car was in impeccable condition, completely accurate to the listing on their website. The vehicle I was trading in had a bit more interior defects than they had realized, but they still gave us the price they quoted over the phone! I was completely blown away by this - they easly could have nickel and dimed me, but they did not. Once we settled on the deal, I worked with Dennis Marhefka in finance. Again, I was completely blown away. There was nothing shady, no hidden numbers, and he didn't pressure me into anything at all. He was honest about the warranty options and completely understanding when we had to redo some numbers. I arrived at the dealership around noon and I was gone by 2:45. I can honestly tell you that I will NEVER purchase a car anywhere other than Irwin Motors. There is a reason that their BBB rating is so high, and there are so many positive reviews. More

Bob Travers is by far the best car salesman I have ever worked with. He was courteous, considerate, and listened to what I wanted, never trying to sell me something I was not interested in. This was a delicate situation as my husband has been hospitalized for the last 6 months. This meant Bob had to negotiate with me and then also with my husband. He made us both feel like we received excellent service. Bob even drove me to the hospital to get the final papers signed and the car was ours that afternoon! Nothing but great things to say about the way we were treated by Bob Travers--he solved every issue we had and we walked away with a wonderful used car at a fair price. The RAV4 we bought will be much easier for hubby to get in and out of than our Camry and I love the way it drives! Thank you so much Bob for all your help, you made it easy and pleasant to buy a car! The nice thing about this dealership was that I didn't have to haggle. I told them my price range and they found a VERY nice car within my price range. Carl was very friendly and professional. Their was a small piece of the under carriage hanging down that I didn't notice. Carl stopped me and took it back to the service department to take care of it. That is good customer service.
