I test drove a Ford Maverick XLT and genuinely liked the truck. The salesperson, Daniel, was pleasant to work with, and based on our conversations, I was quoted 5.9% financing for 60 months. I have an exceptional credit score, so I was shocked when I arrived and the financing terms suddenly changed to 7.89% for 72 months. Not only was the interest rate higher, but the loan term was extended by another year. That was not what I had been led to expect. At that point, I grabbed my keys and walked out. Shortly afterward, I received a call offering 4.5% for 60 months, but by then the trust was gone. If that rate was available, why wasn't it presented from the beginning? I liked the truck, but I value honesty and transparency more. The experience felt like a bait-and-switch financing tactic, and that's not how I do business. Because of that, I won't be purchasing from this dealership and cannot recommend them. More
