MIS INFORMATION /BUYER BEWARE! I AGREED WITH KEN F. ON THE SALE OF THE 2002 MERCEDES BENZ CLK320. UNFORTUNATELY I WAS MISINFORMED ABOUT THE BLACK LEATHER CASE. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED I AGREED WITH KEN F. ON THE SALE OF THE 2002 MERCEDES BENZ CLK320. UNFORTUNATELY I WAS MISINFORMED ABOUT THE BLACK LEATHER CASE. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED KEN IF HE HAD THE OWNERS MANUAL FOR THE VEHICLE. HE HELD UP THE BLACK CASE!! THE BLACK LEATHER CASE HELD THE CD'S FOR THE USA STREET MAPS!!! THE CD PLAYER WAS BROKEN SO I COULDN'T SEE WHAT WAS ACTUALLY CONTAINED IN THE CD'S!! HE MENTIONED TO ME THAT THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT HAS ALLOWED DEALERSHIPS TO CHARGE A $598.00 ADDED CHARGE TO EACH VEHICLE THEY SELL. OK I AGREED IF THE STATE SAYS THAT IT MUST BE TRUE. HE NEVER EXPLAINED TO ME THAT THE CHARGE IS / WAS NEGOTIABLE ! UP TO $50.00 SPECIFICALLY MENTIONED IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WALL. I DIDN'T SEE THAT UNTIL I NEEDED TO HAVE THE FRONT END CENTER LINK REPLACED. MECHANICAL ISSUE!! I HAD MY MECHANIC CHECK THE VEHICLE AFTER I HAD PURCHASED IT. KEN WOULDN'T ALLOW ME TO HAVE MY MECHANIC INSPECT THE VEHICLE.PRIOR TO ME PURCHASING THE MERCEDES. I UNDERSTOOD THAT, AS MY MECHANIC WORKS IN SPRINGFIELD, MASS. I SHARED WITH KEN THAT I WOULD BRING THE VEHICLE BACK AFTER THE PURCHASE AND AFTER MY MECHANIC INSPECTED THE MERCEDES KEN F. ASSURED ME THAT THE MECHANIC WHO CHECKED OUT THE VEHICLE WAS / IS A LICENSED JET/ AIRPLANE PILOT! THANK GOD I STILL HAD 132 MILE & 2DAYS LEFT ON THE 1000 MILE 3O DAY WARRANTY AS THE ALTERNATOR WAS DEFECTIVE AND AGAIN THE CAR WAS TOWED A 2ND TIME TO J & M FOR THE REPAIRS. FRED THE MANAGER IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WAS GREAT WITH THE REPAIRS & HAS A GREAT ATTITUDE. I WENT TO PICK UP THE CAR ON SATURDAY AND NOTICED THAT THERE WAS A FRONT LIGHT BURNT OUT. I WAS ASKED TO BRING IT TO THE OTHER SITE & WHERE I WAITED FOR 1 1/2 HOURS FOR A MECHANIC TO FINISH A JOB IN PROGRESS TO FIX MY LIGHT. I WASN'T GOING TO LEAVE AND COME BACK ANOTHER DAY TO HAVE J & M REPLACE A LIGHT !! KEN , CAME UP TO ME AT THE RECEPTION AREA AND DID ASK IF EVERYTHING WAS OK?! HE DOES CARE ABOUT HIS CUSTOMERS. HE JUST NEEDS TO HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF HIS PRODUCT & THE DIFFERENCE OF USA MAP CD'S AND AN AUTOMOTIVE MANUAL!! EVERYTHING WAS DONE AND WORK WAS COMPLETED. I HAVE SENT AN EMAIL MESSAGE TO THE OWNER JAMES McCOWAN AND NEVER RECEIVED A REPLY FROM THE OWNER OF THE CAR DEALER OF THE YEAR. I HAD REQUESTED FROM HIM THE $50.00 NEGOTIABLE FEE & THE MERCEDES BENZ AUTOMOBILE MANUAL. MR. MC COWAN CAN HAVE THE CD'S TO THE USA STREET MAPS BACK!! I HAVE SINCE BROUGHT THE MERCEDES TO MY MECHANIC IN SPRINGFIELD AND HAD HIM GO THROUGH THE VEHICLE PROPERLY & MADE THE NECESSARY REPAIRS! WHEN I SOLD MY OTHER 4 MERCEDES I MADE SURE THAT EVERYTHING WAS IN WORKING ORDER. I CERTAINLY DIDN'T WANT TO HAVE A BAD REPUTATION! I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU CAN SATISFY SOME OF THE PEOPLE SOME TIME AND NOT EVERYONE ALL THE TIME. THERE ARE GOOD TIMES AND THERE ARE LEARNING TIMES. THIS WAS CERTAINLY A LEARNING TIME. NEXT AIRPLANE / JET FLIGHT I TAKE TO FLORIDA I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT THE PILOT WAS NEVER EMPLOYED AS AN AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN @ J & M AUTOMOTIVE IN NAUGATUCK . CONNECTICUT. GOOD LUCK TO ANYONE PURCHASING A VEHICLE FROM J & M. OR ANY OTHER CAR DEALERSHIP! MAKE SURE THE I'S ARE DOTTED AND T'S CROSSED BEFORE YOU SIGN ON THE BOTTOM LINE! ....AND THEN DOUBLE CHECK ! Poor customer service My car has broken down twice in the 4 months I've owned it. When I purchased the car I also purchased the extended warranty 4years, 100k miles. I was My car has broken down twice in the 4 months I've owned it. When I purchased the car I also purchased the extended warranty 4years, 100k miles. I was told when I asked that this warranty had rental/loaner car options if something were to happen I'd be covered. The first issue I had was with the engine, and when I asked, I was told if they keep the car overnight and/or have to order parts that would qualify me for a loaner car. Fortunately, it was fixed in one day with in stock parts. Now I'm having an issue with the brakes.when I called and explained the issue, the mechanic advised me to bring it in right away and he'd look at it as soon as possible. Now, this time they are keeping it overnight because they have to order a part for it. When I asked if I could be provided a rental/loaner car I was told by thier mechanic I don't qualify for a loaner car because I decided to come in on a busy day, and he didn't have time to get the part, so it's my fault he's keeping my car overnight.They dont have the part in stock, and they're blaming me. I guess I did do one thing wrong, I bought my car from them! I posted this yesterday, and today I received a call from the mechanic asking me to remove the bad review I left on thier website and that he was still waiting for the part for my car, and was planning on fixing it for free until he saw my post. I refused to remove my post. An hour later the owner called me and said one customer doesn't make a difference, he has enough money of his own and he doesn't need mine. They refused to fix my car and told me they dont want or need my business,don't ever come back. More

Great service, and they fix the problem, I highly recommend! The service manager and mechanics are top shelf. They are courteous and professional, every time I have my car serviced it is fixed. J&M matched me with the PERFECT Car! J&M is the best place to go to buy a car. I have 2 small children so I needed more backseat and trunk space.
