“Southern Maine Motors has a very liberal 30 day return policy; all we ask is for a copy of your invoice and that the part is returned in the original packaging. The most important part of any return to us is the original package, since it’s required by Chrysler - especially in the case of an incorrect part. For these reasons, which are by no means unreasonable, we find that we are unable to accept the return of a part more than half a year after it was purchased, without an original invoice AND without original packaging.” -Alan Kovaly, Parts Manager Southern Maine Motors

It is sad to see that you do not stand behind your product and are unwilling to support your customers when you and your personnel make mistakes. Your personnel should have checked at the time of receipt that the part was the correct part before ever handing it to a customer. Your customer service is clearly terrible and you yourself are exceptionally rude I am sorry for any customer that has to deal with you in the future. It is common for people to take parts and remove them from packaging and not use them at the time. I have had to return products to stores, home depot, Lowes and many other retail and commercial environments as much as a year after purchase and at the very least received store credit and been treated better. I am sorry to say but your policy will lose you business directly related to myself, my friends and my family who are avid jeep owners and will NEVER purchase a vehicle from your store or seek service from your service desk. My father was waiting on a review of your handling of this problem to make a decision of where to purchase his new jeep. I will personally make it my mission to make sure that others know that they will be treated rudely, disrespectfully and that continued business with you is of no concern. Also that they will have to pay for the mistakes that your business makes.
