I was looking for a used all wheel drive vehicle. I found one I was interested in and contacted Southern Maine Motors and set up a day to go and look and drive the car. After driving it and talking to Ryan a one I was interested in and contacted Southern Maine Motors and set up a day to go and look and drive the car. After driving it and talking to Ryan about what they would give me for a trade in and the price of the car. I told him that I had made appointments to look at 2 other similar cars. He said that was fine and gave me a business card. After looking at the other vehicles and thinking about it. I was online and found the car I wanted at Southern Maine Motors. I have purchase cars from Lee Dodge and Prime Toyota in the past. The thing I liked about dealing with Southern Maine Motors is that they were not pushy. I told them what I wanted to spend on a payment and what I would take for my vehicle. They did everything they could to make the deal work. The other 2 deals I looked at the sales men I dealt with called me 6 times within an hour after I had told him that the deal was not what I was looking for. He was trying to sell me every car but the ones I looked at. As far as I am concerned The only place I will deal with after my experience with Southern Maine Motors is them. I will recommend them to everyone that I know. More
I have purchased several new vehicles for my taxi business over the last few years. I have used four different dealerships, mainly because I have bought different makes and models. I began to think that all dealers were the same old song and dance. Well I dont sing or dance I just want to buy a vehicle at a fair price and not be oversold or undercut. I can honestly say that between the salesman, sales manager and the business manager there was not a weak link. These guys kept their cool under fire and believe me I am not an easy sale. They gave me a great price and understood me as a customer. I look forward to doing business with them again and hope that the DODGE Grand Caravans work out as well as the gentlemen at Southern Maine Motors did. It was a little tough in the begining. The first finance person (Tom I think) was a little too pushy for me. When I left there the first time I was feeling a little overwhelmed and flustered. However, after talking to Todd the next business day and telling him how I was feeling he had JC call me within 15 minutes. Between Todd and JC they really recovered your dealership from the hard feelings that were made during my first visit there. I truly appreciate their efforts to smooth things out and that is why I decided to make the purchase after all. More

I was going to visit another dealership who had sent me some promotional materials on new Jeeps and decided to stop at Southern Maine Motors first to do some comparison shopping. I never made it to the other dealership as I was given a very fair deal on a new 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo X and also on my trade-in (2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport). Todd Thompson did a great job of assessing my needs, determining what I was really looking for, and understanding my budget goals in addition to educating me on the various Jeep models and features. A very relaxed and low-pressure buying process. The dealership seemed quite focused on customer satisfaction and I would recommend them to others. More
Todd Thompson was an awesome sales person to deal with. I was not expecting to buy a Jeep that day 12/26, but he answered all of our questions and it was a done deal. After ten years of driving our Stratus my wife was finally thinking about a new car. The problem being with our busy work and family schedules we don't have much spare time to do what can be a long an finally thinking about a new car. I called John Williams and asked if I could take a Caliber to meet my wife for lunch so she could see it and drive it. He responded"what time would you like it ready for". I showed up just before noon and Todd Thompson had plate on car, gave me a brief rundown of features and let me run on my way. I returned later with car and told Todd "this wasn't the one that could replace the Stratus". We talked about what we liked about Stratus and would like in a new car. This prompted a test drive of a used car but a "step up" in features. It was comfortable car with more features and power than previous test car but after driving a car for over 10 years I didn't think she'd want that. After considering a car in this price range Todd had me come in the showroom and look at the new Chrysler 200. Soon as I looked at it and sat in it I knew this was the car. I made arrangements with Todd for my wife to test drive the 200 the next day. We showed up Saturday and took it for a test drive and we both agreed it was a great car. Next is where it usually gets difficult; price, trade in's, financing but not here, the rebates on car made it at an incredible price and after throwing a couple of number's back and forth with John we had a handshake and a deal. After a few finance questions and a bunch of signature's we left with a new Chrysler 200 and a smile. Southern Maine Motors has broke the mold off the stereo-typical car dealership sales routine we all have dealt with in the past. Thanks Guys More
