Very pricey, high labor rate Hello, I found that after paying $3700 for my repair, which included $1800 in labor, that the labor rate of $170 and the quoted labor hours is too Hello, I found that after paying $3700 for my repair, which included $1800 in labor, that the labor rate of $170 and the quoted labor hours is too high. Comparing it to other certified shops that repair European cars here around Bellevue, their labor rate is in the $140/h range. Now I did get a discount in labor for $150/h, but the labor time was still 9 hours which was unacceptability high for changing a valve. I would expect that both the labor rate and labor times to be less than what they are, namely $140/h and for a repair like this to be around 4 hours. More
