John is awesome!! I brought my car in for its annual service as well as for the timing belt change. The reason for the timing belt change is that I was looking to trad I brought my car in for its annual service as well as for the timing belt change. The reason for the timing belt change is that I was looking to trade my car in for a new Discovery, but the manager (Dmitri) said I’d have to get the timing belt change done first and that it’d be covered by my extended warranty. Service: 5+ star – John is great! John did a great job providing frequent status updates (via text, my preferred communication channel especially while at work) and kept me informed at all times. He made sure to explain the process to me, so I had very clear expectations. He also made sure that my rental car expenses were taken care of, so it was a seamless process once I arrived to drop the rental off. I’m grateful that John was so helpful, and he definitely deserves a 5+ star rating!! I'm providing an overall rating of 4 stars because of a few factors. 1) When I made the appointment, I wasn't given the right expectations in terms of the turnaround time and process (e.g. I didn’t know at the time that when a car requires a timing belt change, it always requires approval from the warranty company and typically requires inspection meaning it will take roughly a week). I’d be responsible for the cost of a rental car (and much more) if the service was denied by the warranty provider. If I had realized that, I would have made other arrangements for transportation prior to dropping my car off. 2) I just think it’s tacky that even though I get all my services done at the dealership, I’m not eligible for a “Land Rover” equivalent “loaner” from the dealership because I didn’t purchase it there/it’s not on the factory warranty (or whatever the qualifications are). 3) I had provided a discount code prior to the service but when it came time for checkout it hadn’t been applied. I had to ask them to double check and then apply it because it was missed. Not a big deal since I checked it but would have hoped it didn’t require my due diligence and review. Overall the staff are friendly and helpful, and I always have a good experience from check-in, to shuttle services, to check-out. I’ll continue to service my car at the Bellevue dealership and still have plans to purchase my next vehicle there as well (from Nicholas Halberg, who also provides great service!). More
