At every twist and turn, we reevaluated next steps and he made sure I made it to the purchase before anyone else. Everything I asked for he had ready and showed to me, and all information was never hidden. He’s even went out of his way to do small things for me that I never asked for, like putting a cute rhinestone license plate cover he just found in his search, on my car before we arrived. He tried to surprise us with the stuffed animals in the front seats too but we ruined it by looking in there earlier than expected lmao. The effort was appreciated though. He also didn’t just give the car over and say goodbye but encouraged me to really look over the manual to see all of the specific features my jeep has. He also went over the layout of the jeep and basic controls so I’d have a less confusing time getting used to it on my long drive home. Steve truly cares for his clients and I definitely can’t think of anyone better to complete a sale with. Galpin Jaguar Land Rover Van Nuys certifies cars it doesn't stand behind. Galpin sold me a Certified Pre-Owned 2020 Range Rover Velar in April 2024 after its 165-point inspection. 37 days later it s doesn't stand behind. Galpin sold me a Certified Pre-Owned 2020 Range Rover Velar in April 2024 after its 165-point inspection. 37 days later it stalled in drive at a stop, gear indicator blinking, car refusing to move. We brought it straight back to Galpin under factory warranty. No root cause was found. In May 2025, a tire exploded on the highway and displaced the axle. We were fortunate it didn't end in a serious accident. In 2026 Galpin diagnosed the car again and recommended a new battery. Again, no root cause. A few months later, at 22,000 miles, the car died in my driveway. Galpin found the telematics module internally shorted and billed me over $3,000. When JLR told me goodwill requests must go through the retailer, I asked Galpin to submit one. The service manager returned a 0% offer with a one-line reply. I asked four simple questions: which guideline applied, whether it was ever sent to JLR for review, whether Galpin considered any contribution, and what warranty covers the new part. His entire response: "Please contact JLR for any further assistance." JLR then told me in writing that goodwill decisions rest with the retailer. Galpin sent me to JLR. JLR sent me back to Galpin. The general manager was copied on all of it and never replied. The one exception was service advisor Edmond Yadegar, who was professional, communicative, and actually tried to help and offered a small concession on repair costs. He deserves better management. If you buy a certified car here, understand what the certification is worth once there's a problem: a referral to someone else. If you are in the business of buying Lemons, use Galpin. More
