We appreciate the customer's comments regarding Russell and our staff and are pleased that his professionalism and customer service were recognized. It is important to note that this customer originally purchased a Certified Pre-Owned Mercedes-Benz A220 and later expressed concerns about the vehicle's driving characteristics. Although no defect was confirmed, we worked with the customer and allowed him to exchange the vehicle for a different vehicle from our inventory in an effort to ensure his satisfaction. The customer then personally selected a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette and took an extended test drive prior to purchase. During that test drive, the customer had the opportunity to evaluate the vehicle's condition and performance and ultimately elected to proceed with the purchase. The vehicle was sold as-is, and the customer was offered additional warranty coverage at the time of sale but declined that coverage. The customer now alleges that the vehicle requires approximately $10,000 in repairs due to a failed torque tube assembly. However, the dealership was not contacted until approximately two days after delivery, despite the customer's statement that the concern was apparent immediately upon arriving home. To date, the dealership has not been provided with a complete diagnostic report from a Chevrolet dealership, nor has the dealership been given the opportunity to inspect the vehicle and independently verify the claimed condition. Additionally, the vehicle's CARFAX history reflects that it was serviced at a local Chevrolet dealership on October 1, 2025, where a maintenance inspection was performed along with an alignment, oil and filter service, transmission filter replacement, transmission fluid replacement, and transmission service. While no inspection can guarantee against future mechanical failures, the documented service history does not support the assertion that the vehicle was knowingly sold with an obvious or undisclosed defect. We take vehicle safety seriously and would never knowingly sell a vehicle with a confirmed safety-related defect. Furthermore, there is no evidence that any dealership employee observed, verified, or concealed the condition now being alleged by the customer. The Corvette was a pre-owned performance vehicle that was over ten years old at the time of sale, and as with any used vehicle, mechanical issues can develop or become apparent over time. Although the vehicle was sold as-is and without warranty coverage, we remain willing to review any diagnostic documentation the customer wishes to provide and discuss the matter further in good faith.

Correction on the predelivery inspection date given. The carfax reads 05/08/2026 Milage 54,819, Source James Motor Company Lexington Kentucky. Vehicle serviced - Pre-delivery inspection completed. Maintenance inspection completed. Brakes Checked. Four tires mounted. Front wiper blades/refills replaced. Oil and filter changed. Safety inspection performed. Tires balanced. Tires mounted. Two tires replaced. Wipers replaced. And I have not been contacted by the dealership. This is the first contact that was made. To clarify the timeline, the 80-mile drive home occurred late Wednesday evening. The vehicle was parked immediately, and I spent Thursday and Friday consulting with an automotive professional to understand the stark mechanical noise before putting my concerns in writing to you over the weekend. I stopped driving the vehicle immediately to act in good faith and prevent further collateral damage.
