I had been dreading going car shopping so much I put it off for at least six months! I finally broke down and started on my used car search. I went to the car dealership expecting the worst. When we (my husband my two children 5 and 3 and myself) arrived we met Rick. He greeted me first (a woman) with a firm handshake. Then my husband. He talked to both of us like people-not pushy at all! He gave us the keys that we requested online no selling speech at all. No pressure ever from him. Then we met James who treated us like friends. He looked at our trade and gave us a generous trade in value for it. He said "cars come and go its the people that matter" with a smile. Then we met with Joe for financing another reason I usually hate car buying. But visiting with Joe was just like hanging out someone youve known forever! He was great with our 2 children at 8pm. He just really enjoys what he does. All these guys do! It was a great great car buying experience. I knew what I wanted and the deal I was willing to make. Sean was very accommodating in getting me fitted with the right car, not trying to upsell me on every little thing. I felt that he and Mark both listened to me (shocker, right?) and were genuinely trying to match me with my best interest. I simultaneously had a very poor experience with a different dealership I was considering and - were it not for a royal blunder by that other dealership taking my money - I would happily have made my purchase with Jay Honda. In the end, because of the other dealership's blunder, I was offered a discount I couldn't refuse. That should not be the norm for car buying. When I'm ready for the next car purchase, however, I'm going straight to Jay. I hope Shaun and Mark are still there! More
