Have your used car checked out by a neutral party! I bought a Mercedes SLK here with 17k miles on it. I was told it belonged to an elderly customer of theirs. It appeared to be in excellent condition I bought a Mercedes SLK here with 17k miles on it. I was told it belonged to an elderly customer of theirs. It appeared to be in excellent condition. Six months later, it needed tires, a battery and was making a loud engine noise that could not be diagnosed or reproduced when at my local Mercedes dealer. Then the retractible roof failed. Water poured in during a rainstorm and this was not a drip. Water was dumping in my lap as I drove. Back to my local dealer only to be told the entire roof has to be replaced and the cost is nearly 7k. So now, I am into this car for what I could have gotten a new car for, with a warranty. The car has been at the Mercedes dealer going on three weeks now while I drive a loan, at my expense. I did email Jenkins and never heard a word back from them. I encourage anyone considering purchasing a used car here to have it checked out thoroughly. More
