ZERO STARS for service department. Service writer basically told her that we are Ram certified and the tech will do it correctly. She visited the dealership this morning and was told that she needed a new transmission in her Promaster. The codes were not cleared and the explanation was that they'd come back on anyways. This code comes on after 2,000 miles of fault detection. Service writer refused to do the job that was requested and charged for the diagnostics. "P1745 – Line Pressure Too High for Too Long. This code is for 62TE and typically requires the "Clear Variable Line Pressure (VLP) Counters” procedure to be performed with a scanner under miscellaneous functions" "The P1745 code sets when transmission line pressure has been too high for too long. This can be set by an internal trans issue (not likely), the line pressure solenoid, the solenoid's wiring, an inaccurate line pressure sensor or it's wiring, or an internal failure in the powertrain control module" "The p1745 code is informational for the tech. Your transmission is operating in open loop line pressure for 2000 miles or 1000 2-3 upshifts. Tranny not designed to operate in open-loop for extended period. To erase the DTC you need to reset the VLP shift counter and the output tooth counter" More

Per usual, Shane Tofthagen was extremely welcoming, professional and ensured my vehicle maintenance was completed to my satisfaction. Shane has been a big help with all my service needs since i first purchased the vehicle. Additionally, on previous visits, Ashley Spivey has been extremely helpful and just as customer oriented as Shane. I have nothing but high praise for the Jenkins Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep of Homossassa, Florida. Additionally, The GM, Darren Grant, amazingly remembered me from many months ago and very quickly helped me with some administration regarding my service contract. Jenkins CDRJ of Homossassa really goes out of its way to well beyond the date of the vehicle sale to cultivate the dealership-customer relationship. More
3% Credit Card service fee charge at a dealership? ?? WOW. Worst experience ever. Talk about only interested in the money. Took our 2014 Jeep in to have them check out the Humm in the back and the ?? WOW. Worst experience ever. Talk about only interested in the money. Took our 2014 Jeep in to have them check out the Humm in the back and the head rest that had popped open. 1st it was a $150 charge per issue they looked at. We said forget looking at the headrest. We left the vehicle overnight. We were told we would get a call by 8:30 telling us if the part came in and we told them great because we needed to pick it up by 11:30. 9AM rolls around and I need to start calling to get updates. After me calling several times and getting “no progress of if the part is actually on the delivery truck yet”. By 11AM, after me calling them again, we find out the part is on the truck. Forget picking up at 11:30. 2PM, I call again to find out progress; only to be told done at a cost of $900+, but now I need a new rear differential (ticket price for new $2,900 or used $1,700). I say thanks but I would like to pick it up as is and determine next steps. Please send someone to pick me up. Response was the drivers are at lunch. Only when I call back at 4PM do I actually get them to send a driver to pick me up. Here is the kicker. On top of the $979 bill (which included a $49.95 “Customer pay shop supplies for repair order”) they waited till I pulled out my credit card to tell me they now pass on the 3% credit card service fee to all their customers. FYI, this 3% charge has been charged by CC companies for over 40 years. Everyone knows a dealership is the most expensive place to get work done and now this. Just for reference we called Mavis to find out how much a synthetic blend oil change would be for our vehicle. $49.99 and Jenkins was $59.91. Not returning!!!!! More
