We came in looking for a pre-owned vehicle to fit our family of 5 plus friends and luggage for our busy travel sports seasons. He led us to a pre-owened 2015 GMC Acadia. At first we loved the looks. Sleek and stylish, my wife fell in love. What we weren't expecting was the room it had inside to accommodate 8 passengers...many similar models like the Explorer or Pathfinder were very cramped for passengers in the 3rd row. We easily fit my son who is 6'1" and his two teammates in the back. The vehicle was equipped with a 3.6litre 6 cylinder which may seem a bit small for a passenger vehicle this large....but it has just enough power and decent mpg for what we need. We were going to think about it over the weekend after a 20min test drive, but our salesman Ray insisted we took it for the weekend....and we really got to test it...lol. Saturday it was nice and dry, then it rained, then turned to a heavy snow that accumulated pretty fast. So we had the total experience. The front wheel drive model which we had handled extremely well in the heavy snow and slush. Sunday came around and we had a basketball tournament so we piled in and made a close 20 mile trek down to Barnegat from Whiting....along the highway route of 539 and 72 we averaged just over 24 mpg and averaged about 18-19 mpg in city conditions...right on what the window estimate gave us. So Sunday night when we returned home, asked the kids and wife what they thought....it was an anonymous "yes" for the Acadia. I message Ray and told him we would love to purchase it, he asked for some info via text and said to come on in Monday. We got to the dealership around 3pm today, and by 4pm he had the car detailed, fueled and on our way. We have purchased about 7 or 8 new vehicles, but each time was at least 3-4 hours at the dealership after the test drive. Amazing that Ray and his team had us out the door within an hour. And yes, great price on top of it all...if it wasn't I'd probably wouldn't have gotten as far as I did. More
