I want to start out by stating that 3 years ago we leased a Kia Sorento at Sansone 66 Automall because we found a salesperson that we trusted and resp I want to start out by stating that 3 years ago we leased a Kia Sorento at Sansone 66 Automall because we found a salesperson that we trusted and respected... our relationship with Sansone only lasted a few months. When I went back to try to work out a deal to lease a Kia Forte just 1 year later, that salesperson left the dealership. Luckily, he gave us his cell # so, naturally we reached out to him. He told us that he left the company and actually recommended that if we wanted the same service he had given us, we should to go Jim Curley's in Lakewood and said we would not be sorry. Well, I am SO GLAD HE RECOMMENDED THEM because this is a relationship I will keep for years more to come. One year ago last week on July 22, 2015, we ended up leasing a car for my daughter who is in graduate school that was more than a fair deal. She LOVES her little red car-RUBY- and we LOVE John Mc Clave and his staff! The end of my lease was coming up as of September 1, 2016. My husband and I began to review our options first, on our own. I kept thinking that we had 3-4 months left so we had a lot of time. It was not long after this that we began receiving phone calls, voice messages and emails from the dealership that we leased our car from back in 2013. These calls were very annoying, pushy and aggravating and turned into everything that reminded me how much I HATE dealing with car salespeople... almost to the point of harassment. I would tell them each time I was able to answer the phone before they hung up that I was not happy with them and was going to be looking elsewhere. After that, I received a call from the salesperson that I dealt with when trying to lease a car for my daughter... he did not say hello, how are you, how is your vehicle... all he said was, "Yea, Gina, this is Harold. Why didn't we make a deal with you for the Forte? I need to know." I quickly told him I was finished with Sansone which is sad b/c I work in Neptune and live in Eatontown; it would be so convenient. Instead I emailed John Mc Clave to ask if we could set up an appt to meet with him to discuss our options. Knowing how hesitant I am with car dealers, he emailed back to say he was moved to another location but would take the time to meet up with us at the J C Kia location when it was convenient for us. That was music to my ears. I could walk in feeling good, knowing I would not get angry, defensive or unhappy. The meeting was set for Saturday, July 2nd. We arrived a bit early and began to walk around the lot. Al Angelo approached us to say hello and ask if he could help us in any way. We told him we were meeting John and he very kindly let us walk the lot. A few minutes later, John showed up and greeted me like an old friend; he could not have been nicer. Immediately I felt at ease again and my husband got a big kick out of him and the fact that he "had me at hello." He asked what we were looking for and picked out a winner for us to test drive. We went out on the drive, fell in love with the 2017 Sorento and that was it. He brought us back to meet Al Angelo while he "did his thing" trying to give me the rock bottom deal with no haggling; he knew I would walk if I did not feel comfortable. Al helped walk us thru the rest of the deal. He explained EVERYTHING about the car and the lease and the deal that we accepted. Then he took the time to walk us thru the vehicle and set up our phones on the Bluetooth while the paperwork was processing. Once everything was complete, we felt so satisfied and happy with our vehicle. We went in to see what our options were and left with a NEW 2017 SORENTO; they made the last 2 lease payments on our old vehicle and all I had to put down was the first month's payment. John and Al, you 2 better be around for a long time! I am telling everyone about our experience and promise them that if they come in to deal with you they will not be disappointed! We were shortly assigned a salesman, Jason DeAlmeida. He listened to our requests, and he immediately showed us to some of the cars that fit our criteria, etc. Jason was very knowledgeable about all of the cars he demonstrated to us. He even accompanied us on a test drive so I could ask more questions. It was a very hot day, and it didn't slow Jason down at all. He ran in and out of the dealership procuring several different keys for a few cars. When we narrowed our choice down, he shared every detail about the car with us. He was very informative. When it came time for the pricing details, he presented out case well to the, Jim Orosko, who eventually joined Jason, to close the deal. We reached a good compromise, and both parties were happy. I was shopping for a new Buick and the salesperson and manager (Cynthia and John) were attentive, personable, fair and no pressure. It was my intent to buy from them but they did not have the color car I was looking for. While they did indicate they would be more than happy to find a car for me, ultimately I decided on another dealer who had the color I wanted in stock - just easier. One of the things I liked about this dealer is John offered to pick up my car and bring it back for service (he lives in my town - super nice!). When I told the dealer I had purchased my car somewhere else - John sent me a note and said the offer stood...blew me away. My next car - first place I'm going. More
