In the fast food industry, Chic fil A is the gold standard for customer service. In fact, they have set the bar so high that customer service in almost every other industry is regularly compared to t standard for customer service. Why am I talking about food on a car dealer website? It's because Jim Ellis Ford Sandy Springs pulled a "Chic fil A" and delivered, literally, the best customer service I've EVER experienced at car dealership! The story deserves to be told in full so that the nuance of the experience doesn't get missed, but I'll have to give the jacket blurb version for now: Purchased a 2013 Ford Explorer on a Tuesday and left it at dealership for servicing, etc. Picked up vehicle the following Friday. 4 days later, the check engine light comes on. I take the car back to the dealership fully expecting the "you bought a used car" run around. That, as you can imagine, did NOT happen. Denise, Althea and Donna, in that order, immediately began to do what was necessary to rectify the problem. Each of them, in addition to another salesman, seemed genuinely unhappy that this problem had occurred. Within the hour, my vehicle was sent to diagnostics (it was a bad catalytic converter). They put me in a loaner and fixed the vehicle without so much as hint of me coming out of my pocket. This dealership showed up big time and will ALWAYS have a customer, and an advertiser, in me. Also, I want to commend my original salesperson, Denis Esapa, for his great job in listening to me rather just focusing on making a sale. More
