Seven Shop Visits in Nine Months, Zero Accountability, Insulting Experience: Last July, I purchased a certified pre-owned 2022 Volvo C40 for $31,000 from Mark Wanaka at Jim Fisher Volvo. This C40 had one previous owner, only 23,000 miles, and was seemingly well-kept. In the nine months since my purchase, it has been in the shop seven separate times for issues including: complete climate control software failures (currently under NHTSA investigation), countless driver assist errors, failed front suspension components, full head unit replacement, taillight component replacement due to excessive water intrusion, and exterior trim so poorly fitted it had to be replaced entirely. In recent months, I’ve unfortunately come to find that many of these issues are thoroughly documented in Volvo's own technical service journals and across owner forums. While I understand that Jim Fisher did not build this vehicle themselves, what has transpired in my recent interactions with them has been nothing short of unacceptable. After dealing with countless service issues, I approached their sales manager, Connor Durrett, to discuss my options regarding either getting out of this troublesome vehicle, or simply obtaining a warranty deductible waiver due to the excessive service visits required (for a warranty he sold me that is administered through Volvo!). Upon this, I was met with promises of follow-up calls that never came and a distinct lack of care and accountability on Jim Fisher’s part. After a follow-up discussion, Connor firmly committed to calling me this past Monday with answers. A full working week later, I’ve still heard nothing. I’ve initiated every single point of contact in this process myself. When pressed for resolution, Connor became combative and stated to me that “not everything can be a ‘yes’”, which is interesting considering I’ve not heard anything substantive from him, let alone a “yes” to any of my reasonable suggestions to make this situation right. The trade-in offer I received from him was $15,500, exactly half the amount of what I purchased the car for just 9 months and 4,000 miles ago. This offer (nearly $5,000 less than Carvana and CarMax offered) is insulting, unhelpful, and clearly demonstrates a complete indifference to making this situation right by me. To add insult to injury, multiple loaner vehicles I received during my abundant service visits were received in a filthy state. Stale coffee spills across the center console, stains on seating surfaces, greasy steering wheels, and dog hair throughout the interior. Volvo selling this quality of vehicle under a certified pre-owned program is a disgrace. Jim Fisher is a family-owned business that operates and markets itself on its service reputation, which has not been reflected in how they’ve handled this situation. No meaningful effort to make this right has been demonstrated, and I’m left holding the bag. The single bright spot in this whole situation is that my service advisor, Corey, has been nothing but kind and helpful. This review is not a reflection on him or his service. More

The same two parts guys who sold me an in-stock $300+ trim part a month ago refused to accept the return of the part when I was unable to remove the old part.
