2017 Ford Raptor 2 recalls and scheduled maintenance Great experience with my first service. Had two recalls to deal with at the same time. One was a transmission pin so no easy/quick task. I planned Great experience with my first service. Had two recalls to deal with at the same time. One was a transmission pin so no easy/quick task. I planned to work out of the complementary workstation room that has plenty of wall jacks for me to hookup my laptop etc. While they thought it might take all day or even be an overnighter, I was in at 8:30am and out at 2:30pm. Long time, true, but like I said two recalls, one major, and the scheduled service. BTW - ordered Jimmy Johns for lunch and had it delivered so I was all set just as if I was working from home. More

Making the Best of a Bad Situation The Jim Hudson Ford dealership in Lexington, SC, has done everything in its power to make the best of the terrible situation FOMOCO left their dealers The Jim Hudson Ford dealership in Lexington, SC, has done everything in its power to make the best of the terrible situation FOMOCO left their dealers stuck with when they released the 2012 Focus with the 6-speed dual clutch "automatic" transmission. Their mechanics and service reps have patiently worked through the protocol directed by those at FOMOCO HQ who never have to deal with disgusted customers making multiple trips for service to resolve an issue neither customer nor dealer should have had to deal with. It is a shame, too, because overall, the Focus has been a blast to drive...when the transmission was not shaking me out of my seat, making horrible noises, or making left turns a life-or death proposition while the tranny spun up and tried to decide whether or not to finally "catch" and pull me out of harms way. None of this is a reflection on the dealership or service department which have bent over backwards to maintain my loyalty. Jim Hudson and every other Ford dealer deserves better, Not to mention the cheap, plastic door latches which do what most plastic does when subjected to repeated blows: break. More
