In Nov. 2022, I contacted Ken, bought a used car from Jim White’s Lexus of Toledo online. Ken test drove the car, told me that the car was perfect. Everyone should know sales guy, Ken (25+ years is a lier). Do not trust a word this man tells you. They bought and sold a blown head gasket engine (2012 Lexus Ct200h) car they purchased from a customer for $8000 (trade in) and sold it to me for $13000 cash. (Nov. 2022). Now February 2023, I drove 7000+ miles on it and Lexus of Glenview stated the issues was a blown head gasket. This was an ongoing issue, but Jason (sales manager) and Ken (lier) says it’s my fault for not test driving the car and not signing a warranty. I drove 5 hours to purchase this vehicle trusting Kens expertise and drive back to Chicago, but ended up getting a lemon used car from Jim White’s Lexus of Toledo, practice is scam and ripoff. They charge $1300 for safety inspection, change oil and replace wipers - verified ready for sale. More

Scott took the time to show me all the bells and whistles on my new car. Scott got me an owners manual and explained the Lexus buying options. We then met with Pete for the financing. Very efficient, personable and knowledgeable. Everything went very smoothly. One of the best buying experiences I have ever had. All of the staff we met were very pleasant and personable. These people sell damaged used cars to honest customers who come to them for advise and guidance to help buy a pre-owned lexus. They had advertised the car that I purchased as "super clean" "single owner" blah blah....I was assured by the sales person Edward that I was buying a very reliable car which will last for years with proper maintenance. IT WAS A LIE. The day I went to pick up the car, ED was missing and used car manager handed me the keys with the same assurance that the car is clean and dependable. Next day, AC broke down. I went to them and they recharged it. @ weeks later their were oil slicks in my driveway. I was surprised and thought maybe it was from the fresh service etc. so I=I ignored it. After 2 more days I started smelling burning oil from the hood, the smell of which kept getting stronger everyday. I was concerned about my families safety so I took the car back to Jim white lexus to have it inspected and possibly repaired at my cost. After 3 hours of inspecting my car, Bryant gave me an estimate of approx. $4000.00....that was RIDUCULIOUS. I haven't got my car papers and plates yet and it will cost me 4000.00 $ to fix the car that I purchased for $5500.00. WHAT KIND OF DEALERSHIP IS THIS? ITS LEGAL. Legally they were supposed to inspect the car and deemed it safe to prior to putting it on for Sale in their JUNK parking lot. This is NOT ETHICAL. Lexus is a Brand people connect with Luxury, Truthfulness, Prestige, Honesty and above all INTEGRITY. Jim White of Lexus HAS BORKEN ALL THE VALUES THAT LEXUS STANDS FOR.
