The person who checked me out was borderline rude. She said here is your keys and that was it. Nothing about the work they did or if there was anything else needed. I would never pay to use this se She said here is your keys and that was it. Nothing about the work they did or if there was anything else needed. I would never pay to use this service department. They have had my car for more than 10 days and this is the 3rd time taking it in for the same thing. Also the service advisor doesn’t call us back. the 3rd time taking it in for the same thing. Also the service advisor doesn’t call us back. More
My experience at Shawnee Dodge (specifically involving Dax Hensley and his manager Jason Valentine) was deeply disappointing and, frankly, felt predatory. I came in to purchase a 2012 Ford Flex with a Dax Hensley and his manager Jason Valentine) was deeply disappointing and, frankly, felt predatory. I came in to purchase a 2012 Ford Flex with a sticker price of $7,100. With $2,000 cash down, I expected a loan for approximately $5,100, with agreed-upon payments around $200/month and an interest rate between 3-6%. However, the final contract was drastically different and contained multiple undisclosed issues: Inflated Price: Instead of reducing the price, my $2,000 down payment was effectively added to the car's price, which was listed as $11,000 on the contract, not the original $7,100 or 5,100 I was expecting. Loan Terms: The loan was written for 6 years at $300/month, totaling $21,600 – nearly four times my expected loan amount of $5,100. The APR was shockingly increased to 14.99%, despite prior discussions of 3-6%. Undisclosed Fees/Items: An expensive unwanted service warranty was added he claimed, despite my explicit refusal. They even suggested they couldn't confirm the sticker price of $7,100 in 2023, which AI thankfully can Remind us, a 2012 Ford Flex with 160,000 miles went for $2-8K depending on the condition, and we have photo evidence it was 7,100 not $11K. And there were over $800 in back taxes (dating to 2016) were not disclosed which we Incurred. The car was sold with a dead battery that failed immediately upon leaving the lot which I checked and the year said 2012, so 11 year Old Battery Checks Out at Dodge Guys, and there was a persistent battery drain issue, which a good mechanic did fix. Ongoing Debt: After paying $300/month for three years (totaling $10,800 Twice What I expected to Pay and when I'd expected payments to stop this March 2025), I am now told I still owe $12,000. This means I've already paid more than the original sticker price, yet my debt has somehow increased? I called them to give them the opportunity to make it right. But they said the loan looked fair to Them, Because I'd signed it. What they did was a Switch a Roni and acted like they'd made one edit about the $100 we'd put down to hold the car, so beware if you see them do this tactic. Most Dishonest thing I've ever had another adult do to me in my entire life. So after Hours of Trying to contact the ones responsible at the dealership yesterday and getting to speak with numerous individuals, all of whom acknowledged the predatory nature of the loan, I finally spoke with Dax Hensley who wrote this very loan, and his manager Jason Valentine who had okayed it... They promised to call back after 24 hours to think about it to try and make it right by offering me another deal on another car with forced trade in... "You'll Control All the Numbers" he said like a Mafia man. "You mean you'll make sure we get a good deal?" I asked. "One Thousand Percent" said Dax. *shakes head - its 100% when you are trying to gain someone's Trust... But 24 full hours came and went, and they failed to call or make this right. So I'm going to do my part as a good citizen and post the exact details concerning My Experience with the top managers at the Dodge Dealership in North Shawnee. This experience has been incredibly stressful and financially damaging to my large family, as I even had to go to court and pay $1200 in fines to get the vehicle legally road worthy on top of the predatory loan. I urge extreme caution when dealing with this dealership. The deceptive practices and lack of transparency are unacceptable if not down right criminal. And when asked to make it right, they decided to just stick it to me and my family. So I will continue to leave negative feedback at the locations there in North Shawnee as They are All Connected and are Quick to do the, "awe that sounds horrible man, but I have no way to help you" routine. "Or, Oh Man, I'm sorry this is the blah blah blah dealership. Because they put Three There to Help Confuse those attempting to look for help... BUYER BEWAR More
The tech that worked on my vehicle did an amazing job, and took the time to test thoroughly to ensure it was correct. My vehicle was even washed when I picked it up.
