The sales team was very friendly. I should have said I wanted to compare with other vehicles on other lots maybe? Not the dealership's fault but I do feel I was pushed more than a little. Then, after I agreed it took a REALLY long time for paperwork to be done. We were there probably four hours. Now I have a car that I'm really not comfortable in and it'll be six years before it is paid off. Nancy More
My husband is very reluctant when it comes to purchasing a vehicle. One, because numerous times in the past we have encountered pushy sales people who would neither give us the time to look or were simply r a vehicle. One, because numerous times in the past we have encountered pushy sales people who would neither give us the time to look or were simply rude and Two, because we didnt have a current vehicle payment and my husband NEVER purchases any "big ticket" item the first time he sees it until he has had several days/weeks to think about it and compare prices. When we arrived at the Nissan dealership we were greeted with a casual but very friendly salesman by the name of Sage. We told him we were just looking but also was specific about what are needs where in the type of vehicle we would be looking for. Price would be very important, 4whl drive preferable, it must seat 5 comfortably since we take my parents with us on vacation each year & it should be roomy since we often have my fathers mobility scooter to house. Sage showed us 4 different options and offered us the choice to either look around ourselves and then ask questions or if we would like for him to walk with us and answer questions as we went. This impressed both me & my husband right off the bat. Sage patiently answered all of my husbands multitude of drilling questions & even had my husband laughing and smiling which was a feet in its self at a car dealership. I was so impressed at how Sage put my husband at ease. We had thought we might want a preowned vehicle but when Sage showed us the advantages & the little cost difference in a new vehicle we chose the new instead. We opted for the 2013 Nissan Pathfinder. We couldnt be more happy. Not only did they give us a lower price than originally sticker listed, they gave us more than we thought we would get for our dilapidated old minivan. They gave us free car washes for 90 days, full tank of gas, custom floor mats. They even sent us fresh baked CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES.... How awesome is that!!! They fed our son pizza why he waited along with ice cream. Greg the sales mgr. was amazing at helping us with our financing. Our interest rate is low. We couldnt be more pleased. My husband who in our 20yrs together has never bought anything on the spot was so comfortable with Sage bought our FIRST new car ever on the same day he looked at it. I give all the credit to the amazing sales staff at Joe Machens Nissan. I cant thank Sage & Greg enough! More

The entire staff at Machens was very helpful without being aggressive, from the sale, to the financing, to the delivery. The atmosphere is relaxed and everyone was very courteous. This was our second purchase from Machens Nissan in Columbia. Our complete purchase experience could not have been more positive. We had made contact online and by phone receiving information making us believe it was worth repeating the drive from Kansas City to Columbia. When we parked in the lot we were greeted by a smiling polite employee who directed us inside (even held the door). The negotiation process was very straight forward (none of the pricing games played behind closed doors you sometimes experience). Jonathan Barfield had our new Altima thoroughly cleaned inside and out, our plates installed and then sat with us in the car to set up the Bluetooth phone system and explained in great detail how all the systems operated. I have recommended this dealership to many people and will continue to do so. More
I don't feel that were given complete honesty at this dealership. We drove almost 4 hours to visit this dealership and look at two used vehicles in particular. I had spoken with Scott Glasgow by phone the day before about the used vehicles we were interested in. I was told over the phone that he wanted to try and sell me a new vehicle instead. When we arrived we were told that both of the used models had already sold that day and we were immediately shown a new model. After having to go back and forth on price and payments we were eventually told that the used vehicle that we originally had called about had not actually sold, but were now told that it was at the sales manager's house. After finally agreeing on a price & payment we left the dealership with a new vehicle and a feeling that we had received a good deal. However, on the following Monday I received an e-mail from John Milletics at this dealership. He apparently wasn't aware that we had purchased a vehicle at this dealership. He stated in the e-mail that they were taking $12,000 off of the model that we purchased. I then proceeded to e-mail our salesman Scott Glasgow to ask him why were weren't offered this deal and his response was that it was only for a 2012 model they had with hail damage. I didn't believe that to be true based off of the e-mail from Mr. Millitecs. It was at this time that I realized that the folks at Joe Machens Nissan had not been honest with us on more than one occasion. The vehicle itself has had to be in the shop already for a back window that came loose from the assembly it was attached too. I also have to have more warranty work done on the passenger door where the weather stripping has come loose and is resulting in loud wind noise while driving. Ultimately I am not satisfied with my experience with the vehicle or the dealership. I left there with a new car and a good feeling but that feeling quickly changed. More
This the 4th purchase (the first, a 1995 Maxima is still in service at >420K mi, and still gets 29mpg!) we have made from this dealership and the 3rd from James Williams, our "Nissan Guy"! We always feel like he has OUR best interest at heart and works until we are completely satisfied----not just with the vehicle, but with the deal we work! James is always available and knowledgeable about all the possibilities to meet our needs. We also use this dealership for all our service, and are NEVER disappointed with the any part of it from scheduling, availability, consideration of our time, comfort while we wait, or the quality and price of the service rendered. Everything from sales to every service is beyond excellent! We never fail to recommend both the Nissan product or the Joe Machens dealership----AND our personal Nissan Guy! More

well lets see, as soon as i walked into the dealership i was greeted and helped right off, i was just there to get my vehicle sreviced and i did want to look at another vehicle but ended up getting my car s was greeted and helped right off, i was just there to get my vehicle sreviced and i did want to look at another vehicle but ended up getting my car serviced with an oil change and drove home a new car that night to try out. the sentra i took home was not the vehicle for me so the next day Tony helped me out to find the one i liked and just happen to have one across the street. the price i can say was not bad but i beleive it probably could have been a little cheaper seeing how i am vpp approved my percentage rate was too high. i am very pleased with my selection though so do not take that into consideration, i am hapopy i changed vehicles from versa to sentra. my overall experience with the nissan dealership has been the best ever and i recommend everyone i can to go check you all out/. sincerley Robin Stevens More

We agreed upon a difference which we would be willing to pay, and an appropriate deal was formulated by the staff and accepted as presented. No hassle at all. We were treated very well and truly appreciated both Matt's and Carl's work to satisfy our concerns. We will certainly recommend Joe Machens' Nissan to any friends in the market for a new car.
