What can I say? I have mixed feelings. I was wanting another 4x4 or AWD SUV. I first considered Jeep then Toyota; however, family members have Honda and swear by them for dependably and hol I was wanting another 4x4 or AWD SUV. I first considered Jeep then Toyota; however, family members have Honda and swear by them for dependably and holding their higher aftermarket values. I went to Johnson City Honda because of their marketing advertisement on TV for their excellent service department. Plus they have a lifetime warranty on the powertrain. (I later learned that Toyota and Wallace Nissan also offer the same thing). I went to get in on the year end markdowns on the 2017's. I drove a 2017 Obsidian Blue HRV AWD with beige CLOTH heated seats (there were 2 blue ones on the lot). When I went back the next afternoon to purchase the vehicle, there was a blue HRV parked in the same place as the one I drove, BUT it had black leather and was 2018. I commented on the interior difference and was told it was the very vehicle I tried out because it was parked in the same place as the one I test drove the night before. Still thinking I knew what I was talking about, but preferring the black leather interior, I proceeded with the purchase. I wasn't aware this one was a 2018 until I was in finance. The next day, I verified that my memory wasn't as bad as I was lead to believe because the other blue HRV was still there on the lot. Otherwise, I was treated very well by all employees and management. The process took almost 5 hours to get my turn with the finance guy and actually leave with my new vehicle. Other customers were equally frustrated at the length of time they were waiting on whatever deal they were making. I am learning as I go about the vehicle. I have discovered there is no interior light to illuminate the cargo area when raising the hatchback. There is a place for a light, but mine doesn't have one. Why it doesn't, makes no sense considering all the other ammenities it does have such as on screen navigation, bluetooth, right turn camera and back up camera etc. One would think that a vehicle that had an msrp of >$29,000+ would have a much needed light in the cargo area. You can't see a thing in the cargo area at night without a flashlight. So far, these mentioned things are all I am not pleased with. Other than the "bate and switch" on the vehicles, the staff was very good to me. Very accommodating. They gave me an acceptable allowance for my trade. I just hope their service department is more timely in getting things done and out the door than the sales and finance departments are. I love the vehicle and that's a good thing considering I was looking for my "forever" vehicle and I will be paying for it the rest of my days on the Earth almost. Seven years is a long time to pay high payments when one is my age. I live 20+ miles from the Johnson City Honda dealership which means I will have to go there to have adjustments made. Hopefully, I will be able to utilize my local Honda dealer for most things. More

I like that the salesman was very knowledgeable about our 2015 model we were trading in and the CR-V Touring model we purchased most recently. My only issue is that no one could tell us the interest rate prior the final paperwork. Our deal didn't close until after 9 PM when we learned for the first time that our interest rate was going to be double what on our previous purchase, even with an excellent credit score (800+). Had we known the rate earlier, it would have affected our purchase decision. More
