Car Buying Experience Offset Stress of Drunk Driver Accident I needed a car right away after my car was totaled in a wreck with a drunk driver on the day before Thanksgiving! I didn't mention ANY of this to the I needed a car right away after my car was totaled in a wreck with a drunk driver on the day before Thanksgiving! I didn't mention ANY of this to the Internet Sales Manager, Dawn Gilbert, when I contacted her on Thanksgiving Day. I only told her I needed a 2016 Elantra with Bluetooth, but she helped me as if my need for a car was her #1 priority! Dawn was extremely responsive to every phone call and email. She finalized my deal over the phone and was endlessly patient and calm. Dawn Gilbert processed my payment to hold my chosen car and sent me a comprehensive email with everything listed that I would need to finalize purchase. When I got to Johnson Hyundai at my appointment time on Tuesday, 12/1 at 11:00 AM, Dawn greeted me warmly, and the Product Specialist, Shareef Abdelhalim, handled processing of my purchase paperwork calmly and efficiently. He gave my spouse and me his full attention, expressing appropriate & sincere concern and compassion when we told him about the drunk driver who had totaled our 2009 Elantra. James Edmonson, your finance manager (who went over all options with us and finalized payment terms for our car purchase), was engaging, sincere, and kind. He made the whole experience of handing over lots of money as pleasant and FUN as possible! And then Shareef took over again to introduce me to my amazing new car, showing me all its bells & whistles -- and getting that all-important Bluetooth connected with my phone. I love the car. I love Johnson Hyundai. I only wish y'all would open another branch of Johnson Hyundai in Wake Forest, NC, where I live! When I got there Yolanda introduced herself and everyone was so polite and courteous. Their attitudes helped me to calm down in my stress. They had some cars picked out for me that would work in my budget and told me what they needed from me to get me in a car. I was in my car within a week. My Hyundai Sonata was everything I needed. It's just for me. Thank you Yolanda and James and thank you hyundai for a continued amazing experience. More
Unprofessional First time going to this dealership as I am new to the area. I set up an appt online to get two recalls taken care of on my 2011 sonata. I specifically made the appt for the evening so I could get a loaner car and leave it over night and not worry about my husband and I having to miss any work. I received a call as requested on my appt confirmation on Wednesday and the employee seemed baffled that I even requested a call. I said it was because I wanted to make sure I had a loaner car because I would be leaving my car and I don't live close. I was then told that it would only take an hour and a half for my car to be done and I didn't need a loaner. I then told them I was leaving the car overnight and specifically requested a loaner. When I arrived , no loaner , no help. Inconvenienced . Left my car overnight and one would think that since I was told it would only take an hour and a half , that my car would be done by lunch. I called at 11:45am, car isn't done . I get a call back around 2:45pm telling me my car would be done in a half hour . When I pick my car up , Gia was extremely nice and apologetic about my previous treatment. I get in my car and see a straw on my passengers seat from Sonic- where I did not go. I will not ever go back to that place : especially after hearing who I am assuming was the manager talking to another client about a problem the night I dropped my car off . He was extremely rude to the other customer . More
