I've been taking my vehicles to Kearney Mesa Chevrolet since we purchased our GMC Terrain. I take my Camaro there, which I bought elsewhere, as well. This is the 3rd time I take my Camaro there and nothin since we purchased our GMC Terrain. I take my Camaro there, which I bought elsewhere, as well. This is the 3rd time I take my Camaro there and nothing but hand prints everywhere. The last time was for tire changes. I took the car in spotless, wheel bright and tires shiny. They return the car with tire powder all over the tires and the wheel all dirty from hand prints and who knows what. If an owner shows pride in their vehicle, why can't the dealership? Sad service! By far the worst experience that I've had with a dealership service department. A few months ago, I brought in my car for routine oil change and tire rotation. The service advisor immediately of dealership service department. A few months ago, I brought in my car for routine oil change and tire rotation. The service advisor immediately offered services that were not routine without even checking the mileage. When he got in and checked the service schedule, the computer confirmed what I told him that those services were not recommended at this time. That's shady offering services that are not needed. And recently, I had my car towed in because it would not start. The power control module, which is under the Voltec warranty (8yrs, 80,000 miles) apparently malfunctioned. My car has been with Kearny Mesa Chevrolet for almost two weeks with NO estimate on when it will be ready for me. Additionally, there's been no offer for a loaner vehicle. There is clearly poor communication between the service advisors, the mechanics/engineers, the parts department, and the customer experience manager. More

I left the car to check for a repair and the communication with the advisor was really bad, got emails with wrong quotes, not answering the phone. When I finally got a hold of another advisor named AJ a week after I left the car, he was not willing to help at all, even when there was no service done in the vehicle he would not let me pick it up on Saturday. Really bad experience. More

I recently traded my 2019 Gmc Sierra for a 2021 Chevy Silverado. I got told that they were going to take care of the payoff amount right away so In that way, I was not going to get any calls or I did not Silverado. I got told that they were going to take care of the payoff amount right away so In that way, I was not going to get any calls or I did not have to worry about getting calls regarding payments at the 2019 gmc. This happened on November 11 of this present year 2020. A few days later after getting my Silverado, I got a call from GM FINANCIAL stating that they have not receive any payments either from me or from Kearny Mesa Chevrolet and they were requesting payments. I talked to GM FINANCIAL and explained to them that supposedly Kearny Mesa Chevrolet were going to do all the paperwork. Long story short, I being calling Kearny Mesa Chevrolet more than 30 times and even talk to the Managers Amanda and Bobby about the problem and they just tell me let me get your info and we will call you back which I have not receive a call from them. Its been almost three weeks and my problem still not resolve. More

This collision center was referred by Geico, it was closest to the location of the accident (which btw was 100% not my fault). My car was there over a month, with over $5K in repairs needed. We had few updates from them the first few weeks, and then at 3.5 weeks get a call from Marshall stating my car was ready for pick up even though there was now a dead battery, and 2 warning lights on the dash they couldn't figure out how to fix/make go away (tire pressure sensor and hatch latch sensor). They said it was a 3 year old battery and is considered "a wearable part". We told them the battery was placed within the last 2 years and is supposed to last 6, and they need to replace it, as well as remedy the warnings on the dash- my car is not ready for pick up! After several back and forth phone calls personally (Marshall was professional but of no real help, and Ivan the manager was completely unhelpful and unprofessional) and through the Geico adjuster, they replaced the battery and into the next week finally fixed the sensor issues. The worst of this whole experience was when we were finally able to pick up my car last week and met Ivan. Mind you this was the week Covid-19 ramped up with closures/job losses etc. in our state, and I was aware Marshall had been out sick. I asked Kendra the receptionist to verify the issues had been remedied before I pay my $500 deductible and take my car. Ivan comes around the corner, shoving a chip in his mouth, then removes my fob from their key ring and hands it to me. This was COMPLETELY insensitive to the current situation!! He stands there for awhile looking at our paperwork, as if he wasn't all too familiar, never greeting us or even looking at us. Takes us out to the car, goes through the list and points out items that were repaired or replaced. States the hatch was replaced, which fixed the sensor issue (why wasn't that done to begin with?), tire pressure sensor issue resolved, and the battery was replaced at HIS COST, and that "most anywhere else would've told you to go pound sand, but I replaced it bc I want to keep you as a customer". Really?!? This whole interaction was made SO uncomfortable by his demeanor- he was so angry and rude. His contempt was palpable- it's as if he just put all of his anger and frustration in life on us. We couldn't believe it, we actually said to each other later we wondered if we had been filmed and it was all a joke. I always keep in mind that we never know what people are going through in life, but there was NO EXCUSE for how Ivan treated us. I left with my car below E, and didn't know if I would even make it to the gas station 1/4 mile down the road. Instead of feeling reassured and relieved my car was fixed and was in good hands, I left feeling worried what this guy might've done to my car. After driving it the past few days, as far as I can tell, everything is fine. I spoke to John Segal, the GM at Kearny Mesa Chevy, and he expressed concern and understanding of our experience, and said he would speak with his team. I also contacted Geico to share our experience- they apologized and said this colission center is new to their list, and unfortunately they still have some cars there they're dealing with. Sounds like they'll take this place off their list. More

Have not heard a peep from their service department for a week letting me know what is the problem and when can I expect my car back. Called a couple of time to inquire the status and all they could tell me is that they need to take apart the transmission and evaluate it. The was exactly the same statement they gave me the day I dropped off the car. A week later I left the service manager several messages to call me and provide me with a status. Have not heard from him either. The only reason I took the car there is because the transmission is under warranty. I recommend if you have a choice for car service and repair, Kearny Mesa Chevrolet should not be you first choice. More

I didn't purchase my vehicle at JJ however I have been taking my car there for years for service and maintenance. My prior service writer left, moving out of state so I gained Katrina as my rep. She, like my previous writer, is always pleasant, makes sure I am taken care of and yes sometimes my car has taken longer to get repaired than expected and there have been hiccups however, they are always resolved and the situation satisfied. As far as their rates? They are dealer book rates. If someone takes an hour to do a four hour job, you pay the dealer book rate, that is the way it goes. If you want to pay by the hour, go to an independent or a business that does not use book rate. They are always very busy, be understanding of the fact but if you ask for provisions I am sure they will help. Anyway, I have nothing but good things to say about them and hope after I pay off my Camaro to purchase my Vette or other vehicle from them and yes they will be servicing, maintaining and repairing my vehicles. My dealer (cars not drugs) Glendora Chevrolet employs liars and service techs that will make an oil change and a test drive a four and a half hour wait to tell you "we test drove it and didn't hear anything that sounded like a clunking noise from it. Told you I would take care of it for you BUDDY.". No emojis available to represent the fake smile EYE felt from Dorian Terry, my personal service tech. Still waiting to hear from Dorian, from Glendora Chevrolet, about the new paint and body shop they're suppose to pick, OBVIOUSLY Armondo? from the shop next to and between Glendora Chevrolet and I AM not sure of its name but it MIGHT be, GLENDORA TOYOTA has NOT heard that chevy don't use his shop no more. Sorry i digress. Watching Mr. J running second in the all star race right now. Want to thank them for introducing me to my sport shift mode in my 2017 ss Camaro. Holy S*%$ cool car without a clunk. Im a chevy lover always have. Loyal to the bone to the manufacturer. Can I cheat on Glendora Chevrolet with you? by driving my car from Upland California to your dealer and let you service me, I swear i will use the back door. SINcerly Jeff Jones p.s. Don't want to cause trouble for any one at Chevrolets anywhere, but maybe Dorian should get a job at Ford. More
