I brought my truck in for a recall and additional service. The recall was for a brake switch which may cause the brake light(s) to fail. Well, they changed the switch, but never checked the lights, so they never changed the light bulb that was out. Duh! How do they know the original fix worked? Now it's a service charge!
A second, unrelated problem was a check engine warning. I have my own diagnostic tool which gave a P1133 failure - Heated Oxygen Sensor. I told them what the code was, but they had to check it themselves for $90.00 after which they could not find a problem, so they reset the computer. Fifteen minutes after I left the light was back on and I get the same problem whenever the temperature is below about 60 degrees.
