My 2009 corolla's transmission went at 70,000 miles for no apparent reason. I have had all the prescribed service along the way and really the car was in great shape otherwise. The techs were convinced it was a a defect and yet the initial quote was going to be over $4000 to replace the transmission. Erin worked diligently with Toyota to obtain a "goodwill" waiver on the cost of the parts which was 75% of the cost! This was excellent work on Erin's part, she knew that if I had to pay the full amount I would take the car somewhere else and attempt to have it repaired. She also knew that Toyota would prefer to have these kinds of repairs done "in-house" so that they may further analyze the defective part. The only reason I rated the price as "OK" is because I feel that the labor costs the dealership charges on any service are extremely high. I am very happy with Toyota's contribution but I just feel overall the dealership is charging to much for labor. The reason I rated the overall experience as "Good" is because I was without my car for 5 full days and Freedom was unable to provide a loaner. Fortunately I was able to make other arrangements for transportation to work, but this could have been an even costlier circumstance if I would have had to obtain a rental. The unfortunate thing about it is that the car sat for 4 days until the Toyota made a decision and the part came in. I think they could have been a little quicker to make the offer and get me back on the road. I will add that Erin also got the car scheduled for a full detail on the last day which was a special offer and that service was well worth the $100! I felt like I was driving off in a new car! Perhaps they took extra special care because they knew the circumstances of my service visit but nonetheless I was very pleased with the fact that they got it done on short notice and they did a great job! Both Nicki & Ashley were very instrumental in getting my vehicle in for an appointment and making sure that the repair was done right. Both ladies where very helpful in making the appointment to meet my needs. Erin greeted me upon my entering the sevice bay and went over the paper work explaining what work was to be preformed on my car and to meet my needs. Ashley came out later and asked me into the service area. She introduce me to Bob the Tech and explained to me some problems my car had, and recomended what was need to fiix them. All three people were very nice and pleasent. When my car was finished , Erin called me into the service area again and said my car was done and showed me to the checkout counter, and introduce me to Annie. Erin then gave me her card and said if I have any problems give her a call. Annie was very nice ,and offered me a cookie for the road. I shall return again. More
