Honest, Friendly Dealership We arrived at Freedom Toyota around 2pm or so. As soon as we entered the showroom I felt the up beat vibe. We were helped by the first person I made eye contact with. As we waited to meet the salesman, numerous people, seeing us standing there, offered to assist us. We met our salesman, Doug Murphy and proceeded to match a used car with our expectations and price range. Mr. Murphy worked extra hard to ensure that we were getting the best suited vehicle for our needs and budget. IMO he went the extra mile in his duties to make sure we were satisfied with our used car purchase. we purchased a 2004 Mazda6 with 149000 miles on it. I had a question if the car had timing belt or chain. We then discussed the aspects of a timing chain versus a timing belt. As we were talking about it, Mr. Murphy was perusing his laptop. A few minutes later he told me that he found that the 2004 Mazda we were purchasing had a timing chain and not a timing belt. That bit of information was a relief to both me and my wife and probably saved me some money on getting it checked out. We finished up the paperwork, wrote the check and took possession of the 2004 Mazda. We even posed for a picture with ourselves and Doug. I cannot say enough good things about our car buying experience at FREEDOM TOYOTA. The simple act by Doug Murphy of researching the timing belt/chain question goes above and beyond what I’d expect a car salesman to do. It reaffirmed my belief that I was dealing with a fair, competent and HONEST man.
