What could have been a very painful buying experience instead was pleasant, efficient and friendly. The new car is in great shape, runs like a charm, and is just like my old one. Kenny and his team worked really well with my insurance company, which made everything so easy. Thank you Spradley Barr! More
I bought a 2004 Isuzu Rodeo From Spadley Barr. When I was I bought a 2004 Isuzu Rodeo From Spadley Barr. When I was test driving the car. I noticed that the antilock brake system light was on. I asked the I bought a 2004 Isuzu Rodeo From Spadley Barr. When I was test driving the car. I noticed that the antilock brake system light was on. I asked the salesman (Scott) about it and he stated that The the car had new brakes and that light comes on sometimes until the brakes get broke in. I should have known better but I am not a car mechanic. But anyway I bought the car. The second day after I bought it I started having problems with the electrical system. I took the car into the service department and they fixed the electrical problems for a fair price. However, The service department told me that there was a problem with the antilock brake system and that it would cost over $1,000.00 to fix. I felt very misled. I would never have bought the car if I wasn't lied to about the brake system. I went in the next morning to talk with the General Sales Manager ( Mark Newendyke )about the problem to give them a chance to make this right. The receptionist called him to let him know that I was waiting to speak with him. She said that I should have a seat and he would be out in a few minutes. Well I waited for about a half hour and was told that he had left the building. Mark Newendyke actually ducked out on me. Well I had his card and I called his cell phone. He asked me to call back a few minutes later and he never answered or called me back. Spradley Barr in Ft.Collins, Colorado has the worst customer service I have ever seen. It is shamefull. I feel that they were dishonest with me. Please heed my words and go to another dealership or this could happen to you. More
My salesperson, Josh, was very knowledgeable about the hybrid car I bought, which was great because although I had researched it I didn't know all the ins and outs and he was able to fill in those blanks hybrid car I bought, which was great because although I had researched it I didn't know all the ins and outs and he was able to fill in those blanks for me. Not to mention, he had a friendly manner and was very upbeat. I also dealt with Finance Manager Napoleon and he was friendly as well and he worked with me on the different packages. I did have an issue with the extended warranty I purchased but Finance Manager Scott worked to take care of that as soon as I requested a change the next day. Finally, (but definitely not least!) was the General Manager, Mark. He took care of my warranty issue immediately and in an extremely satisfactory way for me. Because of my overall experience at Spradley Barr Ford, but especially at the end where everyone came together to work with me on my warranty, I will buy my next car there and I will recommend everyone I know to go there. From the time I walked onto the lot, I was dreading an encounter with a "car Salesman". I have purchased vehicles before and always end up with a pushy, obnoxious person who I can't stand to deal with, bu encounter with a "car Salesman". I have purchased vehicles before and always end up with a pushy, obnoxious person who I can't stand to deal with, but must in order to buy the car. I was so pleasantly surprised by the non-confronting manner when I met Seth, that I actually enjoyed looking at cars that day. He knew I was looking at more than one dealer and vehicle but didn't try and push me into anything. I looked at the Hyundai [Fort Collins], Honda [Fort Collins as well] and Mazda. The Mazda dealer [Chris] at Spradley was your typical pushy, over bearing, obnoxious person, so full of himself and his manager status that I got out of there as quickly as I could. By the time I narrowed my vehicle choice down to two, Honda Fit and the Ford Fiesta, Seth went out of his way to help me with my decision. I drove the vehicle a couple times and took it overnite. I also drove the FIT and when I was finished I had decided I liked the way the Fiesta drove and looked. When I indicated I wanted to buy the car, we sat down and Seth told me what kind of a deal he could come up with for the car. I went home, talked to my husband, and I called him back with what I felt I could purchase the car for. Between Seth, his manager and myself we settled on an amicable price for all parties and I bought the car. This was Friday night. Seth then proceeded to drive over to my house [clear up north almost to Bellvue] and we signed the paperwork that evening. My car was in my garage for the weekend and I was very satisfied with my purchase. I proceeded to go back to Spradley on Monday, and Seth went over all of the information, and bells and whistles on the car. Very patient and informative. I have his card and feel comfortable enough calling him with any questions I might have. I would recommend him to anyone wishing to buy a car without any qualms. More
Over the last 20 years I have bought 4 vehicles from Spradley Barr at Drake/College Ave in Fort Collins. The team at Spradley Barr and the engineering and design of my new Edge delighted me and built up a huge reservoir of good will toward the dealership and what seems to be a New Ford Motor Company. Until one of my new Edge delighted me and built up a huge reservoir of good will toward the dealership and what seems to be a New Ford Motor Company. Until one morning when I was drying off my new $795 chrome clad wheels and realized they were not real chrome wheels but instead about $40 worth of JC Whitney plastic hub caps. I was mad. All the effort to create all that good will was drained away. I wanted to attach a picture of those wheels to a brick with a note saying "What were you thinking?" and throw it through Mulally's office window. Figuratively speaking of course. Royce Glader More
My wife and I were very pleased with the entire process of purchasing a new Escape from Spradley Barr Ford in Fort Collins. John Fischer immediately responded to my e-mail when I requested information abou of purchasing a new Escape from Spradley Barr Ford in Fort Collins. John Fischer immediately responded to my e-mail when I requested information about the Escape. He gave me a quote within a few minutes. We set up a meeting time and were introduced to Mike Cook. Mike found the available Escapes in the area and we spent a lot of time talking about what features they had and what we needed. I have a canoe and required roof side rails on the Escape. We test drove an Escape with Mike and verified that my wife could easily drive it. She is not very tall and has problems in some cars. We determined that the electronically adjustable seat was something we wanted and decided to limit our search to the Escape XLT models. Mike and John searched the available Escapes and found a black one, our choice of color, that met our requirements. We were offered a price and what we would receive for trading in our Jeep Cherokee. The negotiations were handled in a forthright manner. Although we were prepared to pay cash, it was determined that we could save almost $1000 by getting a loan and then paying it off. Next we saw Napoleon Gibson who stepped us through the lengthy paperwork. He carefully explained everything we needed to sign. Napoleon helped us through the process. On Wednesday, we picked up our shiny new black Escape. Mike gave us a complete tour of the vehicle, explaining all the many features. Our Escape has been running great and is very enjoyable to drive. The Sirius radio has an enormous selection of music and other programming. We now need to get a blue tooth phone to use the Sync. The entire experience was great and we have a really nice new SUV. This was our second new car purchasing experience with Spradley Barr in Fort Collins and also our second with our salesman - Nick Carestia. Each time, my wife and I were treated very courteously and prof Spradley Barr in Fort Collins and also our second with our salesman - Nick Carestia. Each time, my wife and I were treated very courteously and professionally. The negotiation process when trading vehicles is never a pleasant one, but we felt we were given a fair trade value for our vehicle and an equally fair price on the new one. We would recommend Spradley Barr to others. Thanks, Rod More
Kenny did a great job and I felt I had made a new fried by the end of my purchase The only negative thing I can say is that the dealership only had two finance people working and it took 2-3 hours for all by the end of my purchase The only negative thing I can say is that the dealership only had two finance people working and it took 2-3 hours for all of the customers to be taken care of and I had to go to a different shop to get the finance done instead of the location I purchased the Truck.
