This all began the evening of 10/27/11.My wife and I needed to purchase a reliable used car (because new cars were way beyond our means financialy) and was promised all their used cars passed their Earn needed to purchase a reliable used car (because new cars were way beyond our means financialy) and was promised all their used cars passed their Earnhardt inspections so we began to look at what was on there lot. But after we noticed certain things on a particlar vehicle we liked, they assured us they would fix the items on the car at later dates since they wanted to have us drive off immediatly. Enjoyed working with "Nick" and enjoyed his personality. His dad "Chuck" stepped in to assist Nick and help close the deal. Enjoyed his personality too. But all went sour with Chuck in the future when I tried getting things resolved. Many promisses but never good followthru,(even have one saved on voicemail), If I weren't so disappointed, I wouldn't be writing this unhappy letter. I WANTED TO HAVE A GOOD CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE! Several things that didn't make inspections: 1.A light indicating seat belt malfunction 2.Seat rests in rear of car both gone 3.Passenger door would not lock. IN MY OPINION ALL SAFTETY CONCERNS THAT SHOULD BE DEALT WITH! He promised us his mechanic would look at #1. and #3.but instead made excuses and ignored them. Instead he focused on and promised #2. Other issues were # 4. getting a spare key, which apperently I need to drive across town because they wouldn't extend the generouusty by mailing it. And lastly #5 Chuck having the finance manager call me to renegotiate other financing. Since I got no where there,I left a couple messages there at the dealership, but instead never heard squat from them to date. Which brings me back to the seat rests. Never have I had such a man talk out both sides of his mouth, completely NOT wanting to help me out there. (did i mention my voice message?) This is my biggest gripe,is these head rests, I think of safety a great deal which includes whiplash when involving a accident, since it was a year ago we had to deal with that from an accident my wife and I had a year ago. We would of been in much worse shape if we weren't protected by safety devices like this! Apperently this dealership doesn't stand by their word as Tex Earnhardt has said for more years then I could count! I remember him and his steer (bull) vistisiting my Catalina elementary school back in the early 1970's and developed a fondness for him and his word as a cowboy (cause I'm a cowboy too) but I guess those days are gone and I'm sorry Tex puts individuals like this to run his business! Left a Message with the receptionist yesterday to to give to the "big boss",(general manager I think) to voice my concerns about my how dissatisfied I was! And you guessed it ,not even a call back there! Today it's 12/31/11 and just needed to vent and get all this bad experience off my chest and move into a new year. Hoping this 2012 year is a much better one! If I may suggest to anyone whom wants to have a good experience of buying a new car in 2012 is ,DON'T GO TO EARNHARDT KIA!!! More

I went to Big Bell Kia on 3/18/11 because I saw an internet advertisement for a good deal on a Sedona minivan. The picture on the advertisement just showed a generic picture; not the specific van that I wanted. Oh well. I got there and spoke with Bait-and-switch artist/car-salesman Tony Sol. He tried to sell me a bunch of different minivans without first checking if this one was still there. Then he checked around and found the "someone else had taken it home to see if they wanted to buy it." Then they dug out a handful more minivans that weren't nearly as good a deal as the one on the internet, so I left and Tony told me to call the next day to see if it was back yet. I called the next day and talked to a random guy at the dealer who "verified" that it was still there. I called the day after that and asked Tony specifically if the vehicle was there and again it was confirmed that the vehicle was on the lot. I showed up about two hours later and Tony was busy so I went to go look for it while I waited. It wasn't anywhere to be found. When Tony finally was available we walked around and still couldn't find it. Tony suggested that it was in the service shop, which was closed on Sunday, and apparently nobody in the entire building had a key to the service shop, (which is probably a huge fire hazard, by the way.) I called back the next day and Tony keeps swearing that he'd seen it on the lot on Saturday, but still there's no sign of the vehicle. Salesman Tony Sol and his dealership are apparently a team of bait-and-switch con artists. Steer clear. More

First contact was made through the internet where the sales rep (Richard) verified the price and all fees. I specifically asked if there were any "paint warranty" or any other weird mandatory fees and wa sales rep (Richard) verified the price and all fees. My husband gets in the financing department (I wasn't there) and the finance guy added $800 in paint warranty/window etching fees. He says this is mandatory and there is no way to take it off. At that point, my husband should have walked, but he didn't, he signed the papers. Lucky for me, I was required to sign the loan documents. So, I went back the next day trying to understand the additional fees and trying to get them removed. At first Tim played the "we'll switch out the paint warranty fee for a car warranty fee" game. I wasn't interested because the vehicle was still under the bumper-to-bumper warranty. After about 30-mins of pretending to try and "make this better" for the customer, he told me point-blank that we "have a final contract, and there is nothing I'm going to do to change it". I told him that I hadn't signed the loan documents and he was mistaken. I wish I had a recording of the look on his face. He said "what did you want again?", and I said "I want the paint warranty and window etching fees removed", and wouldn't you know....those fees AREN'T mandatory. They were removed and I was out the door in five minutes with the price I wanted to pay. They played the classsic bait (sales) and switch (financing) and aren't a dealer I would recommend for somebody that is looking for a good experience. Though I did get a great price on the vehicle once the fees were removed. More
